I sold my Jetta this weekend and the buyer flew in from CA to buy the car and drive it back. I picked him up at the airport and he drove it from there back to my place to check out the vehicle and do pass off the money.

He tested every switch in that vehicle EXCEPT for the turn signals.

At least S.CA drivers drive slower than we do.

Thought that was Coloradans! Every time I been in Texas (lived there twice) they always scooted to the right(or stepped on gas), for my lead foot.... Here in Colorado they just sit there... Douches

A year ago I was back in NYC and it was a mad-house. I had a prejudice when I went and come to find out I was wrong. I did notice that when you get trapped in a lane and need to get over, in order to turn, or get out of a turn lane...they use their turn signal and they honor yours (they slow down and give you a gap). In some places, when you turn your signal, they close the gap.

A month ago I was on a trip to the nationals. One of my team members, from Long Beach, me and 2 others went out to dinner. I immediately noticed that he was driving like a wild man....when we left the hotel it was full-speed ahead. Then we turned onto I-40...damn the torpedoes, whipping the wheel to change lanes (I didn't notice the turn signal or not). It was like he was late for a meeting in rush-hour, trying to make up being 5 minutes late. I think what it was, was that we were leaving later than what he perceived that we needed to leave in order to be there at 6:30, and we couldn't be late for our dinner appointment. I told him to slow down as there was no rush. My other partner (also in the back-seat) says the same thing, no rush. Here it comes...he says, you have to drive aggressively, like this, in LA, SO-Cal, or Long Beach (one of the 3 or another) or else you will get in to an accident.

I swear this morning it was like the floodgates of hell opened up and let all the morons on the road.. I was stuck doing 35 on EVERY road I was on till the highway.. Regardless of the speed limit.. Old women, Old men, Asians, Old Asians.. it was like the retirement home gave out day passes and car rentals..

A couple were CO tags..but a few I had never seen and didn't get up close enough to see where they were from.. [Rant1][Rant2][AR15]

And round and round we go.

Its the Californians.

The Texans.

The Coloradans (or is it Coloradoans?).

Everyone drives like a jerk to the other guy.

I know I have a tendency to drive like a jerk. All I ask is to GET THE EFF OUT OF THE PASSING LANE.

And I'm done.

My thoughts as well. Great, another crappy drivers thread (not so much the OP, but it didn't take long.) Again, the vast majority of crappy drivers I see in CO have CO plates, not out of state plates.

Growing up near and working in LA this is how you have to drive. If you dont man up you will be run off the road, in the 90's they would just shoot you. Driving in LA county and orange county suck big time. Went back a few months ago and was almost having a panic attack driving in downtown LA moring traffic. 75% of people dont even know there car has turn singles.

Forgot to add its nice to not have to do battle every time you drive. CO has it good.

Riding a sport bike in SoCal where it's legal to split lanes.... I consider myself an excellent driver based on the fact that I'm still alive.

Also, CO hwy speed limits of 55mph whyyyyyy?

55 where? I have many a ticket issues where the average speed was +40 over, minimum!

Oh man. I may have at one time split lanes in SoCal about 40 above the speed of traffic.

I'm thinking of I-25 going S from 104th Ave all the way through Denver to centennial. Of course, with traffic much of the time, the speed limit doesn't matter

Don't you know? In CA turn signals are optional equipment on cars... [ROFL1]

Does anyone really want to split lanes when the drivers here regularly change lanes without signalling, or more importantly, without looking?!

I am not sure who the culprit is or from what state, but all together the driving is pretty horrible.
