This site seems to be full of folks that either A)live and breathe sports, or B)don't care about sports. And a few of us who'll watch them sometimes but don't get to wrapped up in them.
Broncos pretty well wiped up the field with the Raiders.

Me, unless it deals with brass, bullets, guns, hunting, fishing, motorcycles. No interest. Olny thing I have in common with football are the injuries and I like beer! [Beer]

Me![Wave] I will watch a game now and then. Caught the second half today.
I have a couple of soldiers that play every fantasy league known to man. I think they spent 3 hours talking about the ref's on Tuesday.

Probably not, but I hope so! I have a couple friends who are big Pats fans (they're from back there, somewhere). It'd be lots of fun for them to lose to the Donkeys.

They sent out these key chain coupons, like the ones you get with a saver card at the grocery store.

A couple of the guys I work with are like this. They can spit out stats about players like water from a faucet...I don't get it. I can't talk about guns/shooting (or woodworking, or cars, or anything else I can think of) like they talk about football. I really can't understand how anyone can sink themselves so far into any one subject that they almost shape their lives around it. [Dunno]

I watch hockey, and I like a team. However, that team does not pay me enough (at all) to care for, fight for, tattoo shit on me for etc.... I own a few jerseys, but that's about it.
P.S. Comparing football to watching paint dry is not fair...................to the paint.

I have liked the Donkey's before Mr Ed came to town. I have to say that it was a wild ride with him. [Beer]
"There is a member here, I won't name him....he will out himself I am sure, tha doesn't know who John Elway is. I felt bad for him"
Unfortunately, in my experience, many if not most of the people who do know who John Elway is do NOT know anything about matters of real substance, like the actual language and meaning of the Bill of Rights and Declaration of Independence. Of course, the powers that be rather prefer it that way.
It is truly tragic that people allow themselves to be consumed and diverted by such trivia as spectator 'sports'. I believe that Jefferson had it right when he advise his nephew to avoid 'games with the ball', since they indeed 'stamp no character on the mind'. The Romans and the Nazis both encouraged sports to divert their subject populations from the evils being perpetrated by those governments. A bunch of 'men' cheering for overpaid louts playing a kids' game while their own kids' future is being stolen is something I find truly appalling. They are not men; real men do not shirk their duty to their posterity in such a fashion.
I don't feel bad that someone doesn't know who John Elway is; rather that people actually give a rat's ass about who John Elway is.
I'm not from here.. I don't view Elway as a god.. he was a marginal QB at best.. certainly not excellent.. He was lucky that Bowlen finally put a team together that could win a super bowl. It was NOT Elway.. I moved here when they went.. I didn't know whoTF he was before I watched that game.. Never heard of him.. [Coffee]
What is this foosball you speak of?
I actually watched part of it, but for reason I have really been getting into college football. Watched the Airforce game and before that I watched a Montanna and Eastern Washingtion game. Oops derail.
Back on topic.
There was a sports writer from Oakland on the radio this morning who said that the only one he felt bad for during the game was Thunder (the Bronco's horse)- he saw him on a stretcher at the end of the game with an IV in him from running up and down the field so damn much... [ROFL1]
In other sports news, another team didn't score any TDs yesterday either... The Jets. Their fans are already screaming for them to put in Tebow... Here we go again! [LOL]

Negative kind Sir. I honeslty doubt he will open this thread since it has
"Broncos" in the title. [ROFL1][ROFL2][ROFL3][LOL]
I find it comical that a majority of members of this site don't seem to understand that you can have more than one hobby in life and will post to a thread just to tell you that and how much they dislike football.
Then don't click on a thread about it. If I went into EVERY thread that had subject matter I didn't personally like I wouldn't ever get outside. Maybe you should just stick to the subjects you actually care about and stop being an anti-football troll.
Sheesh.

On every 19-25 yr old girls wardrobe in NY. Every time we turned around there was another TEBO jersey.

This.... really doesn't surprise me... he's a handsome guy- but ask any young woman and they probably wouldn't sleep with him- ya know, being a virgin and all... [Muaha]
Here's my take on Tim Tebow: Those who are angry about it aren't real football/Bronco fans. Period. I just had some old lady working the deli yesterday ask where I got my Peyton Manning jersey. Really? Not too hard to find. She went on to tell me nothing that would indicate she was an actual football fan and then starting bagging on Elway and how much she's always hated him. Huh? John Elway. You HATE John Elway and you're an alleged Broncos fan? I had to ask.... why? She said he was arrogant and she couldn't stand what he did to Tim Tebow. ROFL I'm SO sick of the people who know nothing about football going on and on about Tebow because he's an in your face Christian. I don't care. Honestly, I really don't care about that. I'm a Bronco fan and a football fan and I have wanted to see Tebow succeed because he seems like a good guy but I'm not envious of the position that the Jets are currently in as a result of giving him a chance. I just get sick of people who are new football fans just because of Tim Tebow wanting to debate him with me when they know NOTHING of the business that is the NFL.

I liked Tebow for what he did for the team- he fired them up, they loved playing with him, and he actually had heart, even if he was a bit lacking in experience and ability, he'll come into that. Now, I am glad we have Manning instead of him- not saying I don't like Tebow, but I do like Manning more. [Beer]

This post tells me you understand the NFL though. You're not the person I'm talking about.
I liked Tebow, thought he did a good job bringing the team together. he was a new NFL quarterback and made mistakes like all the rest have done. I hope he gets a chance to play, to make mistakes and learn. Time and his record/performance will decide if he makes it long term.
I did enjoy making fun of him every once in a while though!
