Anyone else hear about this bullshit? I heard two ham planets ranting about this yesterday at a Starbucks. I googled it earlier today and a bunch of stuff came up regarding it as existing.

I'm like 165 and 6' 2", and I don't get any preferential treatment, compared to when I was 237. What say you?

I think you probably just proved the "thin privilege" thing when you used the phrase "ham planets".

Thin people have the "privilege" of not being called "ham planets".

Hell, I'll call skinny people noodles, starvin' Marvin, skeletons, et cetera. Is part of that fat privilege?

Does the Thin Conspiracy have anything to do with the murals at DIA?

OP needs to be less super visual and less sensitive. Carry on.

Does the Thin Conspiracy have anything to do with the murals at DIA?

Nope, just the deep underground alien bases that were built under DIA.

Losing weight isn't too hard.
Just have second job.
While back, lost tons of weight by working at Dick's sporting goods part time after work.

Man, I lost 50 lbs. (down to "average" weight according to my doc) and I don't get any special treatment. Am I getting ripped off? Maybe if you're a walking twig like the celebs....

This reminds me of the Eddie Murphy skit on SNL where he dressed and had make up like a white guy, then walked around NYC. He found that everything was "free" for the white folks.....that was freaking hilarious.

By the way, how can I get transported to a "ham planet"? Sounds yummy. Probably some cheap bacon there too. [ROFL2]

They were probably just ranting and raving, looking for an excuse for their lives.

However, and I'll have to find them, there have been a bunch of studies that show discrepancies between the tips made by larger individuals as opposed to thinner ones, people not getting jobs because of their weight and perceived "deficiency" at performing tasks, etc.

Part of it is a confidence thing though. I'm a mountain of a man, and I've never had a problem getting a job. Its all in how you present yourself. But I definitely got better tips at my last job when I was down under 300 and lookin' mighty sexy.

I don't remember EVER begin below 300... lol... I think you're right though about the confidence. Never had much problems with jobs, gals, etc. As a matter of fact, my wife should be a friggin' model...

I see this all the time- bigger guys with gorgeous wives... Maybe I need to pack on some more pounds? I'm at 165, and feel weight wise I'm good, but I would like to get rid of the little bit of pudge I have on my belly.

Dear Diary.. The fat girl at the office called me out on my pudge.. I cried for hours.

the question you need to ask yourself is why aren't you benefitting from the thin privilege? are you suffering from other issues that counteract the thin privilege?
