View Full Version : F--- T-Mobile
Ok... so last April 28th I bought 2 Smartphones form T-mobile. They were having what I THOUGHT was a killer deal. Their package promotion was: Unlimited Talk-text-data for $49.99 per line if you bought a qualifying phone. So...I bought 2 qualifying phones! Their phone promotion was: 1/2 off all Smartphones and get a mail-in rebate on what you purchase so essentially the phone(s) is/ are free. And... get $100 per Blackberry you trade in. (I traded in 2) In my mind, I'm thinking this is a great freakin' deal.. So I spent $268.78 on 2 f***ing phones. (one for wifey and I)
I'm thinking: SWEET!!! I get 2 badass phones (which in 6 to 8 weeks will be free!) Plus I get $200 on top of that, F***ING SWEET!!!
Simple math:
$268.79 (spent)
-$268.79 (to get back as a rebate in 6-8 weeks)
+$200.00 (for trade ins)
$200.00 in the red for me, RIGHT?!?
So...I do all my rebate stuff online like I'm supposed to. Send in everything that needs to be sent in.
So I waited... and waited... and waited on my rebates to come... NOTHING.
I Call T-mobile... bitch a little... realize the 6-8 week mailing time hasn't quite passed yet so I wait some more... NOTHING.
Kinda pissed now, I stop back into the store to check. They beachbum working tells me that they never received my rebates and there's nothing they can do about it. BOOM... I whip out my new effing Smartphone and show the corksucker behind the counter my REBATE CONFIRMATION EMAIL!! (Yea sucka... how do ya like me now?!?) He grovels a little and says he'll personally call the rebate center and that he'd call me back the next day.
OK... easy enoguh to understand, RIGHT?!?
Apparently NOT if you work at T-Mobile!
Three weeks later...which would make that TODAY... I go back into the store and the fothermucker tells me he lost my paperwork and couldn't call.
I'm really pissed now!!! I have 2 phones that are now [B]NOT FREE and still have NOT received the $200 I was supposed to get for my trade-ins.

Question #1- Does anyone know FOR SURE the promotion T-Mobile was running the last weekend of April of 2012? And can you somehow get me the information to throw in their face?
Because T-Mobile can't tell me! They all know they had a promotion in April, but can't F***ING remember what the hell it was. (is it me oir is this kinda f***ing stupid?!? Isn't that on record somewhere?) And, YES I have looked over my paperwork... NO mention of the promo[Rant1]except that the phones were reduced in price.
Question #2- Where do I draw the line and say, "F your company... F your phone... I'm going back to Verizon?" [Neene2]
Question #3- Should I decide to go back to Verizon, how do I get out of paying the early termination fee on both of our phones?
For those that wanna knock the mini-rant... I have parent's at the school I teach at that are members here. I don't wanna make it wierd!!! I am posting this WITHOUT spell checking OR editing this... which totally goes against my teahing beliefs!!! Don't hold it against me...remember... I'm pissed
Hey man chill out I work at a T-Mobile store..... Not that I like my job.. I'll check and see... But don't hate me
What store was it at
144th and I-25 (Westminster)
Sorry for the gripe! Not ALL people that work at T-mobile are ill-equiped mentally!!! Just the D-Bags I've talked with!
There is a call center here in the springs, you could show up there and not leave till they fix the problem :)
sure you might get arrested but you need to stand up for the cause!!!
I have been with t mobile for 11yrs now and up until a few years ago there customer service was great. In the past few years I have had nothing but problems with them. I don't think I will go back to a contract carrier. I am going to give straight talk a try. $45 a month unlimited everything and no contract. Hard to beat that.
Hopefully that is a corporate store

Took me over 9 months to get a "rebate" from T-Mobile, had to send them the paperwork 3 times. Good thing I kept all the original receipts and sent photo copies.
rebates are a PITA and SLOW! if you have a confirmation email that they received the rebated I suspect you should be good. Did you read the rebate form when you filled it out? Did you meet the criteria? if so you will get your rebate, its prob just taking a while
BTW - I don't work for T Mobile, but I've had them in the past and they've always taken care of me. Have the best customer service, etc.

I've been fairly happy with T-Mobile for the past 8 years. When I switched to a smartphone (unlocked, bought used), the gal at the store looked up my account patterns and actually told me I could save $10/mo by NOT taking a monthly plan. I'm paying the same non-plan rate today -- less than $60/mo for voice and unlimited data (of course, I don't use much voice and almost no texting) versus $80/mo for the plan with "free" or "discounted" phones every 2 years.
Question: didn't you keep any of the paperwork yourself?

Yeah eff white Trash - Mobile Was never satisfied with any part of their services.
Ps see what I did there? [Beer]
Telecommunication (wireless) has one of the worst service, and one of the most complaints.
Also, there are some stores that are not corporate "Verizon store" "Sprint Store" etc. I am fairly sure corporate stores are little better. I think 144th and I25 Orchard one is the corporate.
This is why join SPRINT network withDANHESSE! [Coffee]
"Mail in rebates" are a huge scam that has been going on for years. They know that half the people will give up on the rebate after a couple of emails and phone calls, so that is a LOT of extra money for the company, and it is difficult to prove you were scammed unless you can afford an attorney or take part in a class action lawsuit, and when it finally gets resolved in the courts 5 years later there will be a new CEO.
Whenever you do a mail in rebate, ALWAYS send it Priority Mail, Certified, with return receipt . . . that will cost about 10 bucks. If you enclose a letter typed on paper with a law firm's letterhead (you don't even need to work there) you are a lot more likely to get your rebate with no hassle. If you just send it in an ordinary envelope with a stamp they will toss it in the trash.

Ya know man, if you aren't being treated right, vote with your feet (aka your $$) and tell them to f-off if they don't make it right for you.
I've experienced similar "rebate" scams where they try to frustrate you to point of giving up so they don't have to give you the promised rebate. Many people do just give up, so they count on that.
If you have all of the appropriate paperwork and are fed up, go to the same store, tell them the story, don't fall their next line of bullshit, demand a refund and then go across the mall to another cell provider store if they don't honor their commitment. And if it gets to this point, make sure everyone in the store can hear you.

All this is why I gave up on the "major" carriers and switched to Cricket. Have to buy the phone up front, none of this "hey it's free! - not!" but I've never had a single issue w/ them. $55 / mo unlimited and no contract BS which IMHO is incentive for carriers to ignore Customer Service anyway. Tried Straight Talk as someone else mentioned, poor coverage and major PITA buying cards and all compared to Cricket who allows you to pay online, in a store or over the phone, no cards needed. YMMV
T-Mobile might acquire Metro PCS.
Different Spectrum?

You need to talk to the rebate center not tmobile. Get their number from t mobile.
I'll get there number for you today
Go verizon next time.
I have never had a issue with my bill. they have worked with me a ton of times with replacing phones. I had one issue a few years back where they would not let me get a new phone, went to another store the next day and had a new phone.
the only thing I am pissed about right now is if you renew your contract, they don't grandfather unlimited data in any more. and while I am consistent on my data, I don't want to lose the unlimited feature.
I woke up and saw my stock sink >5% for 2 consecutive days. [Mad]
Today, I totally agree with a topic "F--- T-Mobile". Would like to see DeutcheTelekom and MetroPCS M&A and make a horse race out of it.

The T-mobile girl is pretty hot, though. That's what I look for first in a cell phone company... How hot the girls are in their commercials.

Got a $100 rebate card today in the mail! It felt more like a slap in the face more than a Thanks for your business. Gunner is looking into something's for me so hopefully he can get some inside info that might help me resolve this cluster love!!!

That happened to me with Circuit City. Bought some stock and about 6 months later, they take a big effing dump and close up shop.
