Darn, forgot about that sale yesterday. He has never been open, when I drove by, wanted to see his shop. Maybe next sale day.

He has never been open, when I drove by, .
and hmmmm, he's going out of business
i wonder why?
from what chris has said in the past, it was hard to keep up with the internet sales and run the store, that and all the window shoppers who just wanted to see all the scary black rifles.
as i have said before, i have dealt with eagle on many occasions and have never had any problems getting in touch with them, even after they started doing business by appointment only at the retail store.
i purchased my first lower from chris and am sad to see them go.
I purchased a bunch of stuff from Chris when he had the store open. I bought my first stripped lower, parts kits, RRA 2-stage triggers, ARMS 40 BUIS, cases, etc. I've got enough appointments in my life that I don't feel I should have to schedule shopping time. That's when I stopped buying from Chris. If the convenience of having a local store goes away (while having to pay sales tax), I might as well buy over the Internet at my convenience. It also seemed that Eagle was always out of whatever you wanted and wouldn't have any idea when they would get it. I ended up buying my RRA midlength upper from Pete at Legal Transfers cheaper than Eagle's pricing.
I'm sorry to see it happened, but I'm not the least bit surprised.

Well I hate to see them go. I always had good luck with them and spent many many paychecks there.
Chris was a good guy if you knew him. There was alot more going on in his life lately than anyone knows.
But hopefully it will all work out for him.

I went over Saturday and picked up a Pt-140 for the GF's first gun, and some samson rails for myself. Got good deals on both, and had plenty of conversation with Chris waiting on the CBI. I would consider the service I recieved to be above average for what I typically encounter at a gun shop.
BTW... Im PRETTY sure his closure has nothing to do with his admittedly erratic hours.
ETA: I never realized I've never posted here until I saw my postcount! I read here quite a bit, and even used the EE (bought a breathalyzer from Karl). Im over at the "other site" on the same username. Hey everybody!
Well, if You think about it, it was about a month after Matt and Gina opened up 5280 in that same general area that He started cutting His hours and more or less, started heading down hill.

he's posted over on ar15.com he's closing his business due to divorce.
anyone else read that post ?
either way, i never received any responses from him in the past 6-12 months when i called, or e-m'd him regarding products for sale.
sorry he's closing but any kind of response would have been better then none.
could be worse. just returned from CA. spoke with a ffl who decided to keep hisffl and sell guns. no matter how many hoops he had to jump through to maintain a store front. talked for 25min, eagles problems are nothing compared to CA's insane gun situation.

Don't care. He deserves it. I think I've posted enough with my experiences here that you all should know my stance. If he doesn't want to sell product (which was my take on his treatment of customers), then closing the store is clearly the best way to do it.
