I generally stay away from HF but I was in a pinch for a 12" disc sander a while back. Picked up one from HF and the damn thing was so out of balance it would "walk" across the bench.
An hour in the lathe and a touch of soft disc work and it runs dead true and balanced.
Not a Delta but it was worth $75.00
need to print this and send it to people who think this stuff is great.

Thought about posting that last week. Yes I have a few items from them. Are they the main tools I use everyday? nope. But for some things they are OK.
I will say that many of the big name expensive stuff aint what it used to be. We bought a bunch of Snap-on stuff this year and I was very disappointed in the quality of many items. Even items that were doa were hard to get replaced.
Had a couple of there Li-ion batteries that were bad and they said that they would have to "investigate" for signs of abuse. I explained that we just got the items two weeks ago. There tool bags have no warranty and even though it was clearly a case of bad stitching they said that we are stuck with em. [Rant2]

Oh snap on... you mean that thing i give 50 bucks a week to for the rest of my wrenching life...
I started asking how much when i bought an off set wrench that was a hundred bucks... ya i could have built one from a craftsman or hell even a snap on one for half that with a torch and grinder

Now I have to say, HF hand tools, unless you use them as a proffonal and a dayly use. Not bad. I bought an electric Log splitter, going on 4 years now. Beat the Sh*t out of it and still going. [Coffee]

Could have used the 18volt cordless hammer today.
Coming up from Denver today, I was trying to find a reason to stop at HF. Nothing came to mind. The big plus is that I found a 6" belt sander made by a "real" tool maker. May the knuckle scraping begin. [WooHoo]
I havnt laffed so hard in a year. My dog grew concerned and started licking my face.
