I need to know who's got a good exhaust shop ing the springs. I want to get exhaust on my avalanche and I'm looking for prices.
When I lived there I used to take my cars to a guy on Austin Bluffs a few blocks east of Academy. It was a very small little muffler joint but the guy was awesome and he hooked me up. I can't weld (yet) so anything like that I would bring to him and his prices were better than anywhere else I had seen. That being said, your price will vary a large amount depending on what exactly you want. You said an "exhaust" but to some people that means a catback, to others such as myself it means headers, high flow cats, etc. If you just want some V8 rumble go to any muffler joint and get a Flowmaster muffler put on your truck for $100 out the door and be done with it.

A coworker had Buds muffler do a catback system on his 540i, and it sounds great. I think he paid less than $150 too...

I have also used Bud's Muffler and they did great too. They did a full system on my old truck. It was WAY loud. I like everything loud though, I wish they made a system that would be free up a little sound on my wife? [NoEvil]

My knowledge on exhaust is limited. But I want performance more than anything and from what I have read the avalanche is a bit o a bitch to put exhaust on. Will a car back do anything other than sound good?

Not on most modern cars. A little less weight, a little more sound.
Yup if you did an intake, exhaust, and a tune you may see some noticeable gains but strictly on a catback the gains will be minimal. The sound is certainly worth it though. You can then get that "seat of your pants" feeling of more power. [ROFL2]

The place off of Austin Bluffs you're asking about is also a Muffler Masters - BUT... The owner of the Muffler Masters off of Stone St. & Fillmore sold the rights to use the name to the Austin Bluffs guy and another guy in Fountain.
While I've heard the Austin Bluffs guy is good & seems to be honest, etc and never heard anything about the Fountain guy I can guarantee they can't hold a candle to the Stone St./Fillmore guy.
The guy off of Fillmore also does brakes. Long story short, he saved me hundreds of dollars off of estimates from other brake places & my brakes were great! While sitting & waiting for my truck to get done I watched him do the same thing for just about everyone who came into his store. Many had printed quotes from other stores/chains. One person had a quote for over a thousand bucks for brake work. That person left with fixed brakes paying something like $70. They earned my respect that day.
So, Muffler Masters off of Stone St. & Fillmore (east of Nevada, right behing McDonalds & Arby's.).
Thanks for clarifying for me. I thought it was Muff Masters but I wasn't sure and didn't want to misquote.
muffler masters on fillmore. The guy that runs the place is Jake, nicest guy you will ever meet. He has done exhaust on several mustangs for me. There is no one else I would go to.
