The State Department said Tuesday it never concluded that the consulate attack in Libya stemmed from protests over an American-made video ridiculing Islam, raising further questions about why the Obama administration used that explanation for more than a week after assailants killed the U.S. ambassador and three other Americans.

Notice since the film producer was taken in to custody, he has all but disappeared.

given the timing it was an obvious conclusion. I don't recall hearing the official reason from Mrs Clinton. It is their job to know the truth about these things but that doesn't mean they have to fill us in.

as for the guy who made the film. small guy pisses off the guys in power (by doing something well within his rights). they had something to shut him up with and used it.

He was on probation for some other shit and barred from using a computer or the internet. They popped him for violation of probation.

Either way, multiple state department people and even the white house said it was because of the video... now they're backpedaling since it got out that they discovered it was a terrorist attack within 24 hours. This is a black eye for this administration, but I don't see this gaining enough traction for impeachment, indictment, or even swaying a significant amount of votes away from Obamageddon... Remember, our nation's collective memory is that of a goldfish. [Bang]
