Depends on whether you are watching it on Velocity or the Discovory channel.
And Irving, you missed calling this a REPOST, see the RedBull Stratos thread a few lines down..........
Its a nice balmy -70 degrees outside his capsule

Watching the youtube one. I saw it was a repost, I figure he did to and was just posting a fresh link.

I've seen it as low as -90, and just now it is -58 and climbing. Sure seems to be fluctuating pretty widely and rapidly.

Tried to watch it last week but was aborted. Watching now at 84,750.
With balls that big they drag him to SOS in no time.

Anybody else think that the balloon looks like a ball sack?

They made the decision to jump, despite the possible problem with the visor heating thingeemajigee.
ETA: I'm getting nervous just watching this...
It was climbing about 1 foot per second a minute ago, now it looks like it is climbing fast again. What's the deal?

I don't know. It's losing altitude now.
ETA: Probably has something to do with minor differences in atmospheric density or something like that.

I thought that as well. But I think the balloon would just lose altitude before it popped.

I'm surprised that it is 20 degrees outside the capsule. I thought it would be colder.
Same narrator on Discovery Channel.

Dang, he was tumbling pretty good there for a sec. 739 mph was his top speed, I think.

He didn't break the longest free-fall record.
He didn't break the longest free-fall record.
I wonder if that has to do with his speed.

Could be. He also said his visor fogged up. He might not have been able to see anything so he pulled his chute early.
He's safely on the ground now.
Did anyone else have YT technical difficulties? [Mad]

So highest and fastest free fall records, as well as highest manned balloon flight. Not bad.
Yeah, switched to TV in the middle of the final checklist.
That was cool thanks for posting!
Thanks for the post and link! I'm glad I got to watch it.

Don't forget largest testicles in the world.
I'm pissed I missed it because I was watching the other day when they scrubbed the launch after delaying it.
