Has everyone had good luck with the CProducts mags? Would you rather use
them instead of some of the older makers like LaBelles or Okay mags?

HI,

I bought a few of these at Jensens -- the stainless ones. Here's what I didn't like about them. I could barely get the 30th round in the mags. With the 30th round in the mags, they would not insert into my rifle with the bolt closed. Upon comparison to a USGI mag, the CProducts mag is slightly shorter. No more CProducts for me.

I have 30 or 40 of them. With the magpul follower I can easily get 29 rounds in them and still seat them with the bolt forward. They will seat with 30, but not without a firm smack. No big deal for me. The price was right and they work.

I have 20 of the 9x19 AR mags on order.

I have a few, they've worked well for me so far.

Of course, since I'm poor, "so far" means one mag through each one at this point. ;) Heard nothing but good about them, though.

Thanks for all the feedback. I have a few CProduct mags but want to get another 20 more or so. I haven't had a chance to shoot any rounds through the ones I've got but hope to get enough ammo reloaded soon so I can shoot
a little. (I sure as hell can't afford to buy any new 223 ammo these days.) I just haven't had any bad luck with the Labelles or Okays I've got and know they are usually good. I wanted to buy some of them but there really only seems to be the CProducts for sale anymore.

I've had the best luck with Bushmaster Magazines.

Oh, and one more thing I almost forgot. The CProducts mags are not properly shaped to accept a stripper clip guide.

Thanks,
