Dave's Guns is Closing

I just heard that Dave's Guns is going to be closing their doors within the next week or two. I feel really bummed by the news but I also understand that competing against the "big box stores" is an uphill battle that few small-business owners can win.

I never found them to be particularly friendly at Dave's anyway. I don't like to be treated like I'm a pain in their ass, or watched suspiciously the whole time I'm there.

I agree with rondog, service is the key and these guys had absolutely none to offer. Rude, arrogant and generally stupid.

While I hate to see any gunstore go under, I am not surprised they lost the patronage.

I admit that I was unaware that their customer service was not one of their strengths. Personally I was never mistreated while at the store but, it is clear now that other people have felt differently while visiting. Being that this is the case I can’t help to think that this is what may have ultimately brought them down. In any case, I have to agree with Cameron; I too hate to see any gun store go under.

From gossip I've overheard, it seems the owner may have decided to pursue a different direction, possibly the martial arts side of the business. Maybe someone will chime in with more details......
