I picked up a 1932 91/30 Izhevsk matching numbers MOSIN NAGANT (for you ron) in what looks like good condition. can anyone local take a quick look at it and give me rough estimate on value?

Well now, in that case...is it a hex receiver or round? Hex's usually bring a little higher price. 1932, I'd think it's a hex, and the machining should be much nicer than wartime MG's when they were cranking them out as fast as they could.

Since you can buy 'em all over the 'net, and with a C&R you can get 'em under $100, I'd guess it's probably worth in the $150 ballpark, max, in great shape with all the accessories. Big 5 has 'em on sale frequently for like, $119 or so. And they usually come with a bayonet, sling, ammo pouches, oil can, and some tools. Got any of that? If not, that'll drop the value some.

The 91/30's are the most common, M44's are worth a little more, M38's a little more than M44's, M38's in their original stocks (most are in M44 stocks) are worth a little more, M38's that have NOT been counterbored are a little higher, and the Finnish M39's are worth even more. Highest are genuine sniper rifles, but hard to find and frequently faked.

There's my opinion, worth every dime of what ya paid for it.

Yes, it does. BTDT myself. But a nice hex Mosin with all the goodies shouldn't be hard to sell, just maybe not for what you paid if you overpaid to begin with.

Sometimes, if you are enjoying a rifle, it makes sense not to ask others what it was worth ... in case you overpaid.

Just enjoy it.

Since it is in great shape, it was probably rearsenaled, but look for any SA markings that would indicate it was captured and reused by the Finns.

Have you decided yet what you want for it?

not a bad rifle but not super collectable so around 80-160 depending on stock condition and the extras (ammo pouch , strippers , cleaning rod , bayonet , etc )

Basically, that's one of the most common mosin nagants out there. $80 private party sale. Up to $120 is the bore is mirror bright, and not counterbored, or repaired in any way. For $100 or more it should be mint condition.
Don't worry about the value. You can't buy a better shooting or more accurate rifle without spending hundreds more. For comparison, I have a Savage law enforcement urban sniper in .308, bedded and accutrigger, that shoots no better than my scoped 91/30. Faster shooter maybe, alot smoother, but no more accurate or consistent. My Finn M39 beats them both with iron sights. Enjoy your rifle. Forget the cost. Look up the markings and date codes and such. You'll learn a lot and have fun doing so. It'll make shooting it even more fun.
