Arlen Specter. I believe the state said they were putting it at half.

That's because it hasn't been printed somewhere else, first.
was wondering the same thing at the airports today.
My neighbor has his flag at half mast all the time. I asked him how he knew to fly at half mast once, and he said there is a website that he checks. He must check a national website, because I feel like he has it at half mast at least every other week.

There is nothing worth reading, If it's not local it's AP or a link to the denver toast. No papers are worth opening, IMHO.
The memorial service for Jessica Ridgeway was yesterday so depending on where you saw it this might have something to do with it.

It was during the weather and focusing on Ft Collins and I'm guessing the college.

Drove from Denver to the springs yesterday and saw a ton of flags half mast.
I thought it had to be something very important and dictated by congress or the president to fly half mast? It seems like any little incident that happens everyone lowers the flag.
