Justin

According to the ECO USPSA website, Whistling Pines plans to hold an IPSC match on Nov. 5. I've also been told that they'll be doing weekly or bi-weekly IPSC matches. Does anyone know anything about this? Are they planning on organizing these on a regular basis?

must one have a current IPSC membership to participate?

Are you scoring major and minor?

Do scores get turned in/classifiers run?

Pistol only?

Don't have to be a USPSA or IPSC member. But must have taken the safety class, or have taken an IDPA safety class, or have completed one action shooting match before.

There is not a chronograph, you shoot the power factor you declare (major or minor).

We will shoot a classifier on Dec 3rd as we do every match on the first monday of the month, those scores are turned into USPSA.

Pistols only. Although there are clubs that run rifle, shotgun and multigun matches elsewhere in the state.

It was nice to see all those people show up. When rtr, Shrapmetal and I were the only ones there setting up I was thinking it was going to be a 3 person match.

Next thing you know there is 25-ish people there.

Too bad it quit snowing... I shoveled the driveway when I got home and it was still clean this morning when I left for work. I was hoping to tunnel out or be snowed in.

rtr
01-08-2008, 13:57
When I left my house for the match I thought to myself "How cool that I can go shoot a match when it's snowing outside". I figured we wouldn't have many people show up, but we had the same amount we've had for the most recent few matches (about 25).

Next match is Monday the 17th of March. Open to anyone, not just for WPGC members. You should bring a pistol in 9mm or larger caliber, a holster for said pistol, as many magazines as you own for said pistol, 150 rounds of ammo for said pistol, magazine holders if you have them. You should arrive by 6:15 or so.

You need to complete a USPSA/IPSC safety course before shooting your first match. It's not horribly difficult or long or anything. If you haven't taken this course, OR taken an IDPA safety course please PM me and I'll give you the details.

150-200 rounds is a default recommendation for any and all IPSC/IDPA indoor/outdoor matches in Colorado. That way people always show up with enough.

I always bring twice as much as I might need if everything goes as planned.

When we get the other bay built, four stages for a match will be the norm. Sometimes there will be five. And if there isnt many people and those that are there work fast, 6 stages is a possibility.
