At this point in the game, it's going to be either Obama or Romney in 2012. Anyone else is simply in it for their own ego.

While I wish we had a viable third party, that's not the world we live in.

there never has been a viable third party. we have been a 2 party system for over a century. And it will take a lot more than another socialist welfare program like obamacare to even come close to letting a third party actually seem viable.

nothing happened with social security, medicare etc.

They haven't even received an electoral vote since I think the mid 1800's.

Voting third party in a presidential is like betting all your savings on a mediocre high school team that only has 10 players, and having them play in the NFL Superbowl, you start out with zero chance.

on a local level, there is a very slim chance. 2 senators are third party. nobody in the house. only on local levels is there a decent possibility. then you see them swap over to a major party...aka: Ron Paul.

%^& Looks like they will be closing off mason st for the motorcade[ROFL1]

Too bad we cannot get the 2 party system to loosen it's hold on the electoral process. i am sure there are some good candidates not ASSociated with either party.

UNFORTUNATELY they still don't have my support OR vote.

Gary Johnson, he's just wasting Libertarian money now. Let him go.

I still have not seen a plan by the Libertarians to include the 40-50 percent of the voters they need to win a major election. Probably because the Libertarians are above all that planning stuff and junk.

So do I.

You a correct.

I think the best we can hope for is that enough 3rd party people join the GOP and help turn the ship back to the right.

This is a best care scenario given our current system but I just don't see it happening. Both parties are just so blinded with hating each other that nothing is being done to solve any of the actual problems. Just more distractions.

Of course not because it's D v R and if you don't staunchly support one of the other then you MUST support the other and are to be chastised. You're a loon or a nut job and nothing you say is worthy of putting any weight in. IMO the best ideas for the future of this nation aren't happening within the R or D parties right now and haven't been for some time. It's time that our nation gets some new voices because these is b0rk.
