FEG factory ak. With FEG receiver and barrel. Can't get much better for the price.

Yup flan's right on the money.I'd much rather go with a true F.E.G than with a century built mutt.

Great rifles if you can fell comfy with the wire side folder. Someone is making a cheek piece tht I have not tried, looks like it would make a world of difference.

Best price for factory ak by far imo. The folder is comfortable for me.

Gives me a chance to build a newer improved version :D
I'm thinking of doing one with a triangle folder,keeping the same rear trunnion just welding aditional rods to make it a triangle and put a cheek riser on it.

I like the AMD but hate the folding mechanism. Is a rear trunion swap all that's needed for a romy wire folder?

OP, the 7.62X39 is an incredible SBR cartridge and loses very little in the AMD's shorter barrel. Yugo M67 nearly hits 2k fps out of the 9" pistols.

I'm doing a fixed stock rear trunnion for my amd.

If you have an AK platform for an sbr project, like a draco, great. Been kicking around doing my Draco as one. Only down side for me is i hate to engrave anything on any receiver, regarding my personal info. It's (to me) like a name tag for your gun.

The Ace folder with a Krebbs customs adapter sure tightens things up on the AMD-65.
Helluva nice piece for the money.

Pretty much.Drill new holes for the new fixed trunnion and plug up the old holes from the sidefolder trunnion.

Got it today- AMD-65= Tons O' Fun!!! Put 140 rounds thru it first thing this morning, luv it!!

Congratulations. I had an FEG for a little while, it was a nice rifle.

Another 300 or so thru it today, can easily bang the gong at 100 yards -when-
I do my part. Super reliable, made for the Yugo 20-rndrs.

Yep I took a deer at a little over 200 yards with my amd I love FEG ak's. and they were originally issued with Hungarian 20 rounders ;) they also work well with Chinese style back load drums

I've got some original wood grips on the way from Apex, then I'll prob have it Duracoated black. Should be purrrfect.

Nice!! That should match the rest of the finish!
Are you going to get a rail and put an optic on it?
You'll be quite impressed at how it shoots with one ;)

That is exactly what I want to do. You just use a Romy flat and AMD kit?
