Canadian force i believe. It's actually a very nice looking gun, i have the temptation to built one with full length flat top upper and carbine lower now.
Does anyone know the military designation of this rifle? Why did his gun start jamming like that from the middle of the video?

Really looks like cobble job personally tape all over it ? It looks to be flat op version of the m16 style rifle full length with a bunch crap hang off the end and an elcan not that great but to each there own. Here you go it is a c-7 basic same issue piece trash the military here is issued with a flat top and a elcan.

Well, in the documentary "The Hurt Locker," the gun jammed because the magazine was full of blood. Perhaps that is the problem here.

I do love how these guys IMT...

Maybe I'm old, but the running out the open is a sure fire way of getting one's ass shot off in the "bear" days...

A lot of dumb action are featured by that youtube channel, there is also a vid of a guy trying to put his empty mag in his pouch and almost got shot by a .50 .

I have a question about the way he is cycling the charging handle.

The charging handle has an extended charging handle latch. He appears to cycle the bolt by just using the extended latch.

Will the charging handle stand up to that type of muscle?

I always thought the charging handle always looked kinda flimsy to take asymmetrical loading like that.

Does anyone have any hands on experience on this?

Thanks.

I wondered the same thing a while back, but after having a extended latch on my varminter for a few years, and charging it "asymmetrically" as you put it, dozens of times, i've not had any issues with the charging handle bending.... my scope is in the way.

On standard CH's the part where the latch pin is held can spread apart and the latch will fall off, but this is after A LOT of use. Most extended latch handles don't have this problem, though.
