View Full Version : moving with a supressor
I'm considering getting a suppressor. Here's the catch.. I may be leaving CO next may/june. If I leave is there something I have to do with the suppressor? Transfer it to my new state? Does it cost a lot of $$$?? thanks for the help guys. Also, I'm looking for a good dealer who wont bend me over and screw me. I've heard Alan at machine gun tours is good. Any others?
I'm curious too; I'm pretty sure it will partially depend on the state you're moving to.
As for a dealer, Jay at The Shootin' Shack (County Line and Broadway) has some of the best transfer fees I've seen and is great to work with buying new/used as well.

Form 5320.20. Read it, learn it, love it.
It's how I moved here with my NFA collection, and how I take them with me on vacation.
Costs you nothing more than a postage stamp.

Should this link be a sticky as the same questions get asked and then linked to the site? MODS, your input please.

If you pay for / order one TODAY, you just might, might, have it by May.

That was my other question. Would I even have a chance at getting it.. I'm aware that nobody has an exact timeline, but if I ordered it in the next few weeks there's a chance it's here by next june. I'd be moving to UT or AZ so getting suppressors there shouldn't be an issue.

Buy them there. This way IF there is an issue you have a home base from which to deal with it vs. telling them, well i am living here but signed off there. Why confuse them any more than they are now.
