From the website:

All attendees will go through airport-like security and should bring as few personal

items as possible. No bags, sharp objects, umbrellas, liquids, or signs

will be allowed in the venue. Cameras are permitted.

FYI on this. Unknown to me the Romney rally at Stapleton had the same level of security. I had on Crossbreed IWB holster on but had secured my weapon in the car. Had shorts and polo shirt on and my knife in my pocket.

Guy wands me at doesn't catch knife but gets a hit on the metal from my holster. I point out to him it's empty and I left weapon in the car and he still denied me entrance because of an empty holster.

Wasn't gonna argue with him so I left.

So, does anyone find it humorous that the GOP ticket, which is making a big deal about the socialist policies of the current administration, is holding a rally in a place built by the most socialistic policies this country has seen?

red rocks was built under the WPA

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Rocks_Amphitheatre

By enlisting the help of the federally sponsored Civilian Conservation Corps (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civilian_Conservation_Corps) (CCC), and the Work Projects Administration (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Work_Projects_Administration) (WPA), labor and materials were provided for the venture. Construction of the amphitheatre began in 1936 and was completed in 1941.

Thanks to the genious timing (rush hour) and moron rookie cops that blocked the on ramp at the bottom rather than the top so folks could detour it took 2 freakin hours to get home.

I heard the place was packed with another 5000 that couldn't get in because it was at capacity. How was the event?

I got there at 5:30 and didn't get in until after 7:00. At one time they shut the line down because some idiot didn't think to set up lights at the security check. I missed all the music and got in just in time for the New Mexico Governor.

We got through security right about 530 after waiting in line for 40 minutes. The place was beyond full.

Mitt was speaking and people were still lined up to come in. It was madness, way over capacity. I felt bad as some people parked clear out on Morrison road and walked all the way up only to be turned away.

Typical campaign event. Same speeches and such. First event at Red Rocks the place didn't reek of Pot.

When did Kid Rock go country/rock. Thought he was some kind of rock rap dude?
