Before we went off to a low key belated birthday for TheHog, we spent a little time wringing out the M14s at the Albuquerque PD range for a bit. Nothing special, not enough people to have a real stack or anything, but just a bit of handling to see how the (repaired) scope worked with the new rings and setup.
Enough talk. More pics.

Making entry into the right room, Surefire X200 lit up:

A few notes. Yah, I'm working alone. I had to use plastic riot ammo in the shoothouse to avoid over penetration, so I was working with only one target per room and they only get one round each. But overall I got a good workout (the tires were ALL ROASTING HOT) and as the sun fell, the lowlight training with Jeff really paid off, the X200 and the Millett DMS scope really did a hell of a job, even on a battle rifle.

Thats Hawke (Heather), my SO from the Denver PD in her duty gear with a custom female plate carrier I had David down at Coyote Tactical make for her. This was her first chance to try it out on a big-boy rules range.
Enough talk. More pics.
