View Full Version : Just Ate a Mountain House Meal for Breakfast
I had eggs with bacon. Pretty good, better than I expected.
It would be manna from heaven if I was in a survival situation.
I eat them all the time when hunting, they are awesome.

I love the dinners but the eggs freak me out.
Egg meals are my favorite. I gladly accepted all my brothers and sisters in arms' discarded egg MRE meals. Delicious!

We had a whole pallet of the eggs and bacon meals in a corner of our COP that I'm pretty sure nobody else ate but me. They're pretty good.
I loved the fact that the bacon was individually packaged, they were great for saving to snack on later. I "knew a guy" that gave one to some Afghani that kept coming up and asking for crap while on a patrol.

I eat Mtn house stuff all the time. Hiking, backpacking, Pawnee shooting days. I have no issue with them. They work for what they are intended for. I like chili Mac!

HA! I didn't say that I traded away the better tasting chicken fajita, or sloppy joes for the breakfast. Just left me with more food. ;-)
I also like Braunschwieger and liver and onions, much to my childrens' demise.

You have not lived until ya try a C-Rat egg can. Just saying.[Flower] Back in the day you could deal with them or have issues.
Feel full or empty, Your choice. [Coffee] And the current egg offerings are 200% above what I started with.

I tried some Ova-Easy powdered eggs on my last camping trip. Came out pretty damn good cooked in olive oil with some salt and pepper.
