I feel real dirty.... I just filled in the circle for Romney. If any of you know me from the past political discussions I'm not what you would say a "Romney Lover"

I apologize to my morals, and my fellow libertarians/classical liberals.

The rest of you can thank Oblow-me for acting like a arrogant asshole that is hell bent on sending this country straight to hell on a SR-71 Blackbird.

What amazes me is the fact that we have one of the biggest conservative uprisings in recent history yet those "conservatives" nominate the biggest progressive out of all the "conservatives"

Co-inky-dink or complete fraud?

Although FWIW, a lot of them are so lazy they actually do not get out and vote. This is our only advantage really.

I said no.. it's sending a message that you voted for Obama just to try and prove a point. Thanks for helping him get 4 more years to ruin this country.

I'm willing to bet they don't give a fuck..

Let's face it.. the republican party is full of morons. You have them spouting stupid rhetoric about rape, and woman's ability to 'reject' pregnancy.. However, until a 3rd party can put up a viable candidate to BEAT the 'old boys club' we're eff'n doomed.

You think the dems don't see these votes too.. They can put a half assed candidate up and still win.. oh wait.. they did that in '08... and they're poised to do it again..

This would be correct.
You can also make the statement that people now are selfish. They vote for what best aligns with their personal needs and wants.
"Screw what's best for the country as a whole, as long as I get free medical care, cell phone, internet, birth control etc" seems to be a resounding theme.
People understand nothing when it comes to Civic duty.

Too small of a percentage. They may look at them but have to write them off as unattainable. They would rather spend their money pandering to the independents and minorities trying to draw from that voting block.

People want to feel good about their vote for an instant then cringe in fear for 4 years when the socialists take the white house.

This.

Last friday at the bar 3 girls come in and talk to my buddies and I. They start going on about Obama and how they are going to vote for him and asking us if we are too. All my friends are conservative so we laugh and them and say not a chance. Then they proceed to tell me Romney is going to take away planned parenthood and how are they supposed to get contraception. That they are on Medicaid and all of them have at least 1 kid and how they can't afford to pay for that.
So I quickly cut them off and ask them how they could all possibly be out at the bar not watching their children and spending money on drinks when they can't afford health
insurance or contraception. All while they are each on their nicely decorated i phones.

They left right after that.

Have you guys seen or heard the "My First Time" Obama commercial? I nearly puked... comparing a girl losing her virginity to voting is something that I thought no politician would ever stoop to, but Obama and his slimy crew has no morals, no scruples, and make a Mafia enforcer look like a choirboy. These people have to go.

Bang zoom, on the dot.

People just don't understand what it means when the government gives them something.

It means that the government stole something from someone else but they don't give a shit as long as they don't have to pay for it.

However, until a 3rd party can put up a viable candidate to BEAT the 'old boys club' we're eff'n doomed.
A third party will never be able to put up a viable candidate, because for the last several decades we have been feed the line that we need to vote for the lesser of the two evils. This way of voting has only moved us closer toward evil, so much so, that we are now standing on the edge of evil and we can not stop the downhill slide to vote for a 3rd party because we are within an election cycle of being swallowed by the evil that everyone has been slowly voting for. We needed a third party candidate to be elected 40 years ago to help us today, IMHO.

Not enough of us showed up to the caucuses back in January. And worse, our caucuses are later in Colorado; not enough showed up in earlier states when Perry, Bachman, and other (better) candidates were still in the running.

I'm gonna have to go ahead and say something about this- ONE member of the GOP says something blatantly retarded about women being able to reject a pregnancy does not mean that is the view of the entire party. I thought we tried our best to shy away from these liberal-esque broad generalizations.

That thing that does get under my skin so damn much with this election is not the whole "eew the republican party stinks," or "this guy they picked isn't 'conservative' enough for me, so I'm going to pout," no, those are minor complaints by people who have the grave misconception that every candidate should be perfect... what pisses me off to no end is these whiny, tunnel vision, short sighted liberal pieces of you-know-what that make the entire election about one centerpiece issue that shouldn't even be a centerpiece issue: women's rights. Yes, Romney is really going to come in and undo 100 years of women's rights progress in one term... If you honestly believe that I know of some beach front property just outside Omaha, NE with awesome ocean views that is real cheap! [Bang]

This is some great advice! So many people vote, then bitch, but have never worked with their respective party to actually help make change, not just volunteer, but get involved, make contacts, go to meetings. I've done some networking with the Colorado Young Republicans in the past, and I get involved with several Conservative Veterans organizations. Oh, not to mention, I send a lot of correspondence to my elected officials voicing my opinion on issues, especially issues concerning 2A and express my anger toward the liberal agenda to outlaw guns. Not sure if my emails and letters actually get read, but the important part is that I send them.

To tie the entirety of women's rights to one sub-issue is the real problem here. Claiming that taking away a women's ability to get an abortion will somehow remove her right to vote and put her back in the kitchen, pregnant popping out kids while "the men discuss men's business" is a moronic notion. The ideals behind modern women's rights is a bastardization of what women like Alice Paul and Rosa Parks fought for. It's no longer about equality, its all about revenge. The intro to women's history class that I'm taking completely confirms that for me. The chip on their shoulders is mountain-esque. I'll never get behind it.
