Holy crap!
MCALLEN, Texas (AP) - Three people were found wounded, two fatally, in a vehicle that was fired upon by a Texas state trooper in a helicopter.
The incident happened Thursday afternoon near the South Texas border with Mexico near the town of La Joya (HOY'-yah), about 70 miles northwest of Brownsville.
Katherine Cesinger (SEHS'-ihn-jur) of the Texas Department of Public Safety says a DPS aircraft was helping a state game warden in a high-speed pursuit when the DPS officer on the aircraft opened fire.
She says two people from the vehicle died, one was injured and six others were arrested. She called the shooting "an enforcement action" but declined to say whether police caused the deaths and injuries.
She says the Texas Rangers are investigating and no other information was available.

read this the other day. the comments from "guatamelan" representatives regarding "Accountability" from the Troopers is embarrassing .
ILLEGALS (first hint) Breaking the law then running from the agents. Failure to follow orders to stop. Where is the accountability from the ILLEGALS ??
This ongoing shit turning the criminal in to the victim has been out of control for some time. Another 4 of a dem in office will compound the problem even more.
Lots of countries have way stricter boarder law.
I think even Mexico has a stricter boarder law than we do.

Should have used an AH-64!
Just a minor correction.
I'm surprised the truck didn't fire back with those new M16s we sent south a while back.

The mexican army marches back to guatamela any Illegals who entered mexico. They detain until a decent size groupd is gathered then off they go.
FWIW: The detention facility is prison.
However if America were to follow the same protocol as mexico we would never hear the end of it.
FUK THEM, ILLEGAL IS ILLEGAL, Doesn't matter where you're from. ILLEGAL

I am still curious as to all the circumstances. I would hope that they had good reason to shoot on the vehicle. I am thinking that being illegal isn't reason enough, but then again, I don't live or work in Texas.
I guess this may be an important question then. Did the vehicle, allegedly full of illegals, drive across the border and were trying to be stopped?

I would have been guessing drug runners except the original article says the helicopter was helping a state game warden, not the DEA. They could have been poachers but I wouldn't think that would be a "halt or I'll fire" offense.

I agree! Break the law you are a lawbreaker, not a victim... I'm kinda glad that two criminals don't get to enter the system and get a roof, 3 hots and cot on my dollar.

Agreed with a big old BUT...
there are degrees of crimes. I wouldn't want to live somewhere with automatic .50s instead of red light cameras.
Cop shooting at a car better have very good reasons for doing so.

Well I do like to think that public trust doesn't select crazy people to enforce the law- One can assume that use of deadly force against this car was justified. I tend to give LEO's the benefit of the doubt more times than not.

I agree... No mounted .50 cals on red lights and stop signs....
Should be an array of Hellfire missiles instead. :)
