Just curious. I'm an RN now, and have been working in healthcare since 2000. Did a few years working with my parents at an assisted living, a few as a CNA, and am currently a charge nurse on nights at an acute-care rehab. Am hoping to make the move to a larger hospital within the next year... preferably St. A's or Denver Health.

I consider myself a 2nd Amendment missionary to a left-leaning work-place demographic. Have made proud first-time gun-owners of several otherwise liberal co-workers, and have had some good conversational opportunities on the subject in the water-cooler debates.

I have been working pre-hospital care since late 99 now. It has all been in rural settings down here in the south.

Nope. No such thing. [LOL]I decided Patient care was not for me about 30 years ago. I am now what one would call a Clinical Engineer. Machines normally do not talk back. [Flower]
And we have a bunch of members in the healthcare field.

I'm an RN, had done ICU for 9 years, now doing consulting for a law firm and currently working on my Family Nurse Practitioner. Prior to nursing I was a medic in the Army National Guard for 6 years.

Human services is filled with democrats and liberals (pot smoking ex hippies) just like the health care world. I am a social worker (glorified medicaid tech) for Adams county working with adults who receive services. In my history of being in the field for 10 years I have only met 3 other people who own guns or talk about them. 2 were male (one a behaviorist, other program manager, still friends), 1 was a psycho female who choose to run the other side and stabbed everyone in the back to get ahead. Former health-care myself and my wife's an RN who did hi-tech Pediatric home-care (kids on vents, etc.) for years. I got out of the field back in the 80's after 3 consecutive back injuries, and a very long recovery of literally learning how to walk again! Now I'm in the tech field, CRM consulting/customization.

When Evans went on a hiring spree a couple of years ago we picked up a number of people that had no experience with the military side of things.

Many have got to know the Hatch act up close. [Flower]

My neighbor is an ER nurse. she is from texas, huge baseball fan, gun owner!

My mom used to be an RN, turned teacher, now finishing up her recurrent (not sure the terminology) classes to get back into healthcare. She is by far more conservative and more concerned about our gun rights then quite a few of the members on this board.
