View Full Version : Congrats To Al Gore
Al Gore, U.N. panel win Nobel Peace Prize.
Okay I'm done what does he have to do with peace? He beat out an elderly woman who rescued Jewish children from the Nazis, best prize money can buy.
If you think your American way of life is safe...
Convicted terrorists have recieved the nobel "peace" prize as well....
al whore being awared this "honor" just made all of them worthless.
First he creates the Internet, now he's stompin' out Global Warming and getting a Nobel for it to boot! What will that man do next..
... I'd prefer he just die quietly... but yeah.. now back to your regularly scheduled farce..
*Yawn*
Everybody except His minons and the Nobel commitee knows that He bought it.

The real irony here is that many scientists believe that the weather patterns are not a man-made phenomenon at all and just part of the natural cycles of Earth. This moron has won a Nobel prize for:
1. Completely unproven crap.
2. Being a major environmental "offender" by his own definition.
3. The hottest years in recorded history were in the 30's, NOT NOW!
4. Fraud vs. saving 2,500? children? Fraud wins of course.
But it all makes sense if you are a Democrat...
...and don't forget everything useful the environmental movement has done for peace. It has kept the under-developed world living in squalor under tin-pot dictators. They have coal that could bring them a better quality of life, but they're discouraged from using it.
When you compare the contribution to peace of Irena Sendler risking her life to save Jewish children from Nazi death camps and Algore and the UNCCC, it's obvious evidence of the political farce that the No-Balls Peace Prize has become.

It's OK that the wealthy squander our resources, as long as they purchase the latest thing... Carbon Offsets:
1. Manual water pumps for the poor in India that were deemed unusual punishment for prisoners and banned!!!
2. Buy a big chunk of rainforest, to keep it from being used for any purpose.
3. Buy up bog land in Europe to keep it from being used for any purpose.
There are companies that are now devoted to just this purpose, to make morons not feel guilty about being wealthy and wasteful... wtf?
If we all buy crappy little hybrids and stop using lights and heat we can help M.R. Gore feel better... btw M.R. does not mean Mr.
Remember the promise of the Kyoto Treaties. They're paying for reforestation of old growth forests that have been cut down. There's no monetary incentive to keeping existing old growth forests. These poor nations are clear-cutting their old growth forests so that they can be replanted and qualify for funding.
There are businesses dedicated to gaming the carbon offset system. A refrigerator plant is built in China that uses the old freon that caused the hole in the ozone layer that was already there. A company in Germany builds a plant that is deemed wasteful. In order to offset their sin, the German company buys the refrigerator plant in China and shuts it down. The Chinese group takes their profits from the refrigerator plant that was shutdown and builds another refrigerator plant right across the street from the old one...and they're still using the same evil freon. Yeah, this makes tons of sense.[Kick3]

Yea but don't we "feel" so good about doing something for the environment even if it does more harm than good? Like most libtard programs BTW.
If we were libs, we would just emote in the absence of reason. I'm a little too fond of logic to be a liberal.[Bang]

Here's a thought to help the environment...
Send all illegal aliens back!! Imagine the decline in pollution from 20 million or so fewer people. They will also be taking their cars and trucks with them back to THEIR HOMELANDS (about 10% are OTM's-other than mexican).
Then they are free to apply for citizenship to live in OUR HOMELAND and we'll go from there...
Re: Kyoto
there is an incentive to keeping a big chunk of forest in "virgin" state, tourism. ask Costa Rica about that. unfortunately that isn't helping Malaysia, Cambodia, etc
Funniest thing I heard about kyoto treaty, on NPR no less, is that Japan is going to have a bitch of a time meeting it. Seems there is more demand than nuclear power is willing to provide.
