Leupold VX-7 3.5-14x50 question

Has anyone used a Leupold VX-7 3.5-14x50? I was looking for a scope for my 25-06 bolt gun and came across one for about $650 with Leupold quick detach 30mm rings. They don't make them anymore, so I was wondering what reviews people had if any. Thanks.

I think you'd be damn crazy not to purchase at that price.

If it's for LR precision work I would pass. If its for hunting it may be nice.

It will mainly be for hunting. I found out it has the varmint hunter reticle, which is a little cluttered, but I can live with.

You can always have the reticle changed by them if you decide you don't like it.

I bought it. Took it out shooting, but am still having difficulties with the rifle. I was a little concerned when I was seeing bullet holes all over the target, but then realized it was the dots on the reticle. I was able to get out the door with it and the quick detach rings for $650.
