After his performance this last week he is laughable at best. How in hells name does he have time to worry about anything other than his city?
Fawk him.

The counterweight for liberty is... Bloomberg?
After his performance this last week he is laughable at best.
Fawk him.
I agree. As much as I hated him before, his disaster management proves what a piece of shit he really is.
he continues to try all different ways to build his support. the issue is that people are less willing to fight in order to prevent others from having something when the people who have the guns actually have something to lose.
MAIG is a failure. He had to buy his 3rd term. after this one he will drive his media empire and name into the ground

Last guys i heard of in NY , that used counter weight in a sentence "dropped something" in to the hudson around 3-4 in the morning, no thanks.
The guys a certified dick, everyone knows it. What compounds the problem is
1) he defied conventional voting laws and "managed" to get a 3rd term
2) Knowing the people of Manhattan not only allowed this to happen but voted him in, says a lot about the mentality of Manhattan and it's citizens.
3) Even if he was not mayor he has enough money like soros, to remain a
PITA to gun owners for many a year to come.

I hate Bloomberg! [M2]
And he as others of his kind, hate people like us who enjoy freedom, are not sheeeeppppp and try to fend for ourselves, w/out depending on .gov as a nanny.
Again, the mentality of mass urban areas is that of "'What is the .gov going to do for me today and what will they give me, for free?"

This guy is a tyrant, pure and simple. He believes he knows whats best for us, the unwashed masses and strives to control not only our firearms but our food and everything else he deems himself to be doing for our own good. The man is a totalitarian dictator. I cannot say enough to convey my disgust for him and anyone else like him.

Good luck with that Mikey ... nobody likes you and you're even pissing off your libtard buddies in NYC (frankly his handling of Sandy may have ended his run as Mayor).
So let him waste his time and money.
This guy is a tyrant, pure and simple.
Most people have no idea. Bloomberg wants to imprison anyone who disagrees with him . . . and he will probably be running for POTUS in 4 years.
Christ, if he lived in South America, he would be the biggest Dictator there. I hear is Spanish is pretty good. :D

He strikes me as suffering from a mental illness...seriously, I'm not trying to knock him because he is anti gun. There is something wrong with that guy.

well his recent declining of NG aid may well sink him with NYC. He turned away assistance because "They've got guns" and he wants NYPD to be the only armed people in NY...

Some of the comments are telling...
my personal fav:
This article should have been titled:
"Meanwhile, at the Legion of Doom..."
he will probably be running for POTUS in 4 years.

Why does this guy has such beef against guns? Was he shot by an AK-47 or what?
I'm sure most gun enthusiast staying out of others way with their hobby, let us be.
His handling of Sandy won't end his major career tho, he CONTROLS the media in NY.

No, he would be a greasy and stinky spot in the jungle.
Can we get that lucky here?
Seriously though, given his recent antics such as banning sodas over 16oz, saying women should be breastfeeding more, wanting to continue with the marathon even though half his constituents are in serious trouble etc simply proves the man is delusional.
Seems to run rampant in the liberal circles.
They want a fantastical, utopian world much like what is depicted in "Demolition Man".

It's not a beef it's a mentality. What takes a person from anti- gun friendly is some traumatic experience that shakes them to the foundation of their beliefs, thought process, what ever.
What's that saying
A liberal is a conservative who hasn't been mugged yet.
2 or 3 family members never liked guns, never understood my old man's and my family's like and owning of them.
After our brother was killed their eyes opened up that quick.
I had met with some of the arfcom HTF ny guys and they took the family out shooting after the funeral was over. One B-I-l had never shot, let alone handled a gun his whole life. 4 hours later..well you know how it was when you received your 1st gun.
All it takes is education.
Something the anti's do not want people to understand or accept. Bloombergs stance as other AG'ers is akin to islamist beliefs of infidels. All must go for harmony to exist in their perfect world.
So is the only deal with the marathon that people were worried that it would take resources away from the same people that we are bitching shouldn't have to rely on the government?
Who here remembers Mario Cuomo, David Dinkins. Ed Koch, or Abe Beame? I suspect because some members are Repbulicans that you know Rudy Giuliani, but can't recall much about his personal life.
NYC mayors are a different breed of politician. NYC is separate and distinct from the rest of the state of NY, and not even on the same plane of existence with the rest of the country. Many people in NYC grow up believing that NYC is the capitol of the USA. There are probably people in NYC that believe NYC is the capitol of the planet because of the monstrosity on 1st and 42nd.
I do not believe there is any person who has ever been the mayor of NYC that has become the President of the USA. If I am wrong about this, please name the person.
To say that Mayor Bloomberg is a blow hard seems to be redundant.

Do you remember Adam Clayton Powell ??? Not the mayor, but had more pull up than him.

A LOT of them definitely believe NYC is the center of the planet if not the universe. This poster was popular in the 1980s (albeit retitled "New York: A View of the World") and a lot of my college classmates admitted there was more than an element of truth to the new title:
