I took a chance and ordered 500 rounds online. I think I paid $8-$9 box shipped. The price was great, but how's the ammo? Well, I'm happy to say it's pretty good stuff. Fired 40 rounds thru my DPMS LR-308 this weekend, with no FTFs or FTEs or any malfunctions of any type. Accuracy was good, ringing headshots at 170 yards on every shot. Only issue I could find was that it shoots a little dirty. Considering how inexpensive it is, not that big a deal to me. If you reload however, the steel cases would be an issue as well.

Seller's description:

Each package of MFS .308 Winchester ammunition contains 20 non-corrosive, zinc-plated, steel-cased cartridges. Each cartridge is loaded with a 140 gr soft-point bullet, which provides for expansion upon impact and maximal tissue damage. Additionally, these cartridges have muzzle velocities that have been observed to travel at speeds in excess of 2,700 fps.

Did you buy it from Keep shooting? I was checking them out and saw they were out of stock and they are $10.74 now per box, but still that is .53 cents per round which is really good for 308. I picked up 480 rds of 150 gr FMJ from Freedom munitions for $250 which is about the same price, will see how it does. Thanks Randy for the info!!! [Beer]

I only used the picture from them. I think I actually bought it from Sportsmans guide, but don't see it listed there anymore? I've even seen this stuff on sale locally from time to time!
