Just thought I'd share... My brother and I have a friend from HS who lives down in the Springs now and works as a contractor for DHS. We went down Fri night to visit him for the weekend and what a weekend it was! Sat morning we went over to Dragon Man and were lucky enough to get the tour of his museum (I called Fri and they said they didn't have enough people- last minute group showed up and he decided to do it)! That was awesome, and if you haven't yet gone to do that, I highly recommend it! He has so much cool stuff from WWI-Vietnam. The range is also pretty sweet, although there are a few dumbasses that go there- but isn't that the case with any range these days?

THEN, Sat night we went and saw the new Warren Miller film. It was great! They had a segment on the 10th Mtn Div that I loved, and it featured two of my buddies- Dick Over and Earl Clark! If you get the chance (not sure if it's still playing in areas) go see it, well worth the $25 we paid each! [Beer]

Oh and side note, sure good to see a ton of Romney supporters in COS, big change from Liberal-Town Denver...

Every time I find myself at Dragon Man's I keep thinking of investing in some body armor.

I went in to complain once that a guy kept going downrange while other people were shooting. The guy behind the counter just said "happens all the time".

Oh good. I feel much better about it now. [Dunno]

Sat they were pretty good about calling people out for safety violations. Granted, it was pretty full, and I only saw 4 RSOs; so 4 pairs of eyes to watch all those people can't be an easy job.

It is especially packed on the weekends. If I have a holiday, I usually try to get there early on Friday and I am packing out by noon. That is about the time the place truly gets full and a bit dangerous.

I just got to Range 1 on Carson. It's free and it's the same distance from me.

It's nice to be able to ring steel. Always fun!

Can a retiree use Carson's Range 1?
