View Full Version : Had an epiphany the other day
I realized I really need to spend more time behind the trigger on a handgun.
Don't get me wrong, I can hit the broadside of a barn from the inside. It's hitting it from the outside I have a problem with. [Coffee]
Seriously, fifteen or twenty years ago I did a lot of handgun shooting. Usually practiced three times during the week, shot IPSC the second Saturday of the month, IDPA the third Saturday of the month, and the occasional Bianchi cup to fill in the weekends when there wasn't anything else.
These days I'm lucky if I make it out to the range once every month or two. And some of those trips I don't even shoot a handgun.
Anyways, just talking to hear myself think. [Awesom]

Isnt that what Homer had when he seen the boob lady?
Oh I can attest for needing more trigger time, maybe we can commute if I get my Membership to CRC done.

Just like many of us ya are getting old. I can't wait to retire so I can go shoot more but the young guys will just tell ya that you are old and should sell them your guns for what you paid for them back in 68.
Do not listen to them. [Flower]

[ROFL1] WIN!
To the OP...I would have to agree, I'm definitely a better shot with a rifle than a handgun. Last time i went to the range and shot a handgun i shocked myself with how inaccurate i was.

What gave it away? The fact that I mentioned I used to do a lot of handgun shooting 15 or 20 years ago? [Coffee]
Yep I need more trigger time too. It looks like a need a new pistol now too......
I need to hit the range up to sight in my 2 surefire X400's! just have to decide which guns to put them on!

You are in good company my friend... I prefer to just scare my targets away.
Slow down when you shoot. That's the only thing that has worked for me.
Dry firing is good practice, but must be kept up. Well, all shooting practice really needs to be kept up. Definitely a perishable skill.
