So who scored some Rockies World Series Game tickets (Game 3,4, or 5)?
I see the $65 (Rockpile) tickets are selling for $800 - $1300 on various online places. [Wow2]

not too many have been able to buy tickets on-line.
there was a problem with the servers and sales have been suspended until later.

told my boss i was going to be late or not come in today... tried online from 10-12... no luck at all...

waiting for the press conference about when they will resume sales... told him i might not even come in tomorrow, if they decide to go back on sale tomorrow at 10.

Selling exclusively on the Internet pretty much guarantees the big ticket brokers will have the advantage.

I'm going to have to buy an extra ticket just to sell, so I can cover the two day's wage's I've missed at work. [LOL]

Scalpers should be shot on sight!

This free for all needs to come to an end.

honest fans can't get tickets because some crapheads are buying tickets for the sole purpose of resale at a higher amount.

thats not capitolism, that's shafting your fellow American.

I also believe that presale to season ticket holders is unjust.. what do you think the majority of them did with those tickets?

So if you are lucky enough to purchase a pair of tickets, how do you get them? I read online that you'll be able to print them right after you buy them, that seems cool. I'm guessing you can pick them up at the ticket counter on game day also?? I'd like to take the wifey to Sundays game, we'll see around noon time [Beer]

You know guys, no offense meant, but I really enjoy all the hoopla over buying tickets for a game.....

I love hearing the complaints about the prices of the tickets, and the money they pay the players, and on and on.........

I know, how about we protest the game in person and watch it on a minature ac/dc tv in the middle of a sand storm to support our troops.

Really, there is more to life than sports. I think there are a few thousand troops that would be happy to be able to listen to the game from the comfort of their own home.

Think about it as you get frustrated trying to get tickets..................

good luck.

No frustration here Dave, but there are those that will throw down over prices, someone jumping in line at the ticket counter and all kinds of other crazy things. I can't imagine someone paying several hundred dollars ($800 +) for a ticket that cost $65. Same goes for when the XBox 360 & PS3 came out, crazy prices and people were paying them.

In fact, I don't watch or go to any sports at all... except shooting of course.

Sounds like me, the only sports I watch is 'Auburn College Football', even when they loose to LSU. I'm not much of a regular TV fan either, I like to watch movies. Mostly, I like to tinker on the Willys and other projects to pass my time, but spending time with the Wifey is top on the list [Flower]

I laugh with people that my life revolves around my 3-W's (Wife, Willys & Weapons).

I'm not even a baseball fan (gasp) I'm just a web guy and web issues like that occasionally bug me [Scuba] In fact, I don't watch or go to any sports at all... except shooting of course. Too busy working 14-16hr days.

WTH are you doing for 8-10 hours / day, Sleeping?

you can sleep when you're dead...now get back to work!

Or it could be trying to put a reasonable excuse to the problem [Abused]

Basically, their advertising that you had to be on the site at 10am to get a ticket probably overwhelmed the servevr. It would take a network of 40+ servers to handle that kind of traffic, I'll bet they had less than 3, probably one.
[Coffee]
I had a good laugh at their excuse. Even the solution today was pretty pathetic since they distributed the initial load using akamai and did very little to their backend. I heard many people still had trouble with the checkout page and timeouts there. Looks like the Rockies management and that ticket company gave free lesson in how not to manage a huge short term load both days.

Considering the results of last nights game, you guys might be happy you didn't get tickets.......

I saw Tom Martino this morning just amazed at how poorly this ticket situation is being handled.

The folks that bought tickets online print them out on their printer. Someone can make 20 copies, and the Rockies organization can't tell which one the tickets actually belong too. The first one to show up with their printed copy gets the tickets. Brilliant!

If anybody wants to pay me 10k to go to the game I might consider it. I would be willing to sit through a game for that price.
