Hi,
I'm new and just finished reading all of the rules etc. From what I have seen
this looks like a good place to get some honest opinions about which AR to purchase. I have been looking for an M4 flat top with good reliable parts at a reasonable price ($900 to $1300). This will be primarily for defense, but I would like to use it also in club shoots at GGC. I want a 16" light weight barrel with M4 feed ramps and 1 in 9 twist in 5.56, free-float round forend with a full top rail like the diamondhead, Magpul MOE stock & pistol grip, Diamondhead flip up sights. So far I have found this in a Windham Weaponry CDI model. I'm not too excited about the chrome lined barrel, but the warranty and parts look good. Does anyone know much about this rifle or another one that might be better? What I've found online is limited information and gunbroker has some for $1250 to$1350. I could try to build one up, but I' never done it before. Any help?

Welcome - sounds like you know exactly what you want in an AR, so my advice would be build-to-suit!!!
