There is no such thing as registration in CO it's a free state. If you would like to register your weapon I would move to NY but you can't get a CC permit there. You have to ask yourself would you like a permit or would you like to register your weapon? Pick one or the other they generally don't go hand in hand.

Who are you wanting to register it with?
The police don't register guns.
The feds (BATF) don't register guns, on private sales.....so far.

I have never heard of it being done, but you might be able to go to a local FFL and have him/her put it in their bound book. But it would still be listed as coming FROM you, TO you. Don't know what good that would do, but I'm sure they would take your $25 or more.

Did you get a bill of sale when you bought it? The person's name (etc.) and possibly their drivers license number is about all you could do.

No need to register your weapon.

Must be from California?

Enjoy your new found freedom while you can.
