I'll be there to get a carbon scraper for my bolt and maybe some ammo. Wondering if Beeho's win will turn out the masses for magazines and ammo?

I will be there as a vendor with Shooter Ready. Stop by and say 'hi'...

And maybe find a few parts I need.

Cysoto - sorry didn't see your message until I got back home. Your tables looked crazy busy, tho. Got there early and the narrow aisles were overly crowded. Biggest traffic was the handgun, AR, and ammo sellers. Line was 3-40 people deep when I left.

Just got back with a friend who was willing to drive out there in the rain turned snow. Walked around with my tan COAR shirt and cap, and not one person recognized it or me, and vice versa. Many of the regular tables were MIA, but given the weather, was surprisingly packed with attendees. As we left, we both agreed that even in perfect weather, it wasn't worth the drive.
[Dunno]

I agree, drove up from Denver and it was not worth it. Wanted to look at a couple of fairly common handguns, and they were no where to be found.
Saw some caracal's for first time, but none with the quick sites. (Main reason to even consider one.) Some odds and ends that may have been a good price but I wasn't confident enough about as they weren't something I normally buy. Finally met the Jerky lady.
I was generally appalled at some of the prices. Beat to shit SKS's for $350. New guns $150 over what they should be elsewhere. Was looking for my rifle from my thread in the hunting forum. Got to fondle a Weatherby Vanguard 2. But while the right rifles I were looking at were there, a few even priced right, none in .30-06. (Except for one of the vanguards but with a scope package for like $650, figured I could do better.)
Went this morning with the boy. Looking for a detachable carry handle for my AR. Found one, but this was even smaller than the last one. Not really worth the 8 bucks. Saw a couple of the guys from the board though.
I went with some buddies and everything seemed to be priced to high. I did find some ar mags that were priced well and were able to pick up some ammo cans for cheaper then I have been able to find them locally.
Eh,I wasn't impressed with it.
It wasn't as crowded as i thought it was going to be.But by the time I was leaving it was starting to fill up.
It was ok to burn a couple of hours a few bucks and pop a few blood vessels at the prices..
Saturday was CRAZY-busy but Sunday was more manageable. Not as many tables as the Denver show; fun nonetheless.
I had the chance to walk around and check out the tables this morning and I must agree that there were not many great deals left; people must have picked up all the cheap stuff on Saturday. There were still a few things left on Sunday morning that were priced well but most of them were gone by lunchtime.
The only bad thing was the drive back home on Saturday evening. The highway was icy and what should have been a 50 minute drive for me turned out to be about 1:20.
I went up bright and early with my friend Ed to get a new buffer tube for him, and look for any ammo deals for both of us. I also thought maybe i'd find a new scope for my varminter, but scopes were practically absent... We did get his tube. He kept losing his retaining pin, but couldn't complete another turn before the tube covered the pin.... it's like the existing tube was filed short on a prior build or something... Well we got his problem solved and both found some ammo from the ever-present "ammo kanz" table, and talked to a Korean War vet for a little while, but over all it wasn't anything to write home about. I definitely didn't save enough to justify the gas, but it was good outing with a friend nonetheless.
Fortunately it seems we missed the chaos...we were there before the doors opened, and were in-out in about an hour.... it was getting busy, but not as bad as the Denver show on the 3rd.
