DENVER - An Auraria Campus officer was injured in a shooting on campus early Saturday morning. The incident happened at 6 a.m., near 9th and Walnut Street. The condition of the suspect involved is not known.
The officer involved did not sustain any life-threatening injuries.
A Veterans Day race is scheduled to start in the area at 8 a.m. It has not been confirmed if the race will continue as planned.
9NEWS has a crew on the way to the scene. This story will be updated as more information becomes available.

You know, many mass shootings have to be met with a shrug by the vast majority of dems (including our own Governer!) before you guys chill out?

The NRA is strong, opposing them is a political death sentence for everyone outside a few super-liberal enclaves.

First it was cosmetics, then it was ammo, then it became a 10 year ban on cosmetic (EVIL Features) any magazine capacity no more than 10 rounds, A 20 round colt mag was selling in the $100+ range with no hesitation from buyers to pay it. ANY more than 10 round magazine and the average price was $50 for hand gun $50 & up for rifle. 1999 was a banner year since CA had enacted their "LIST" of banned / restricted guns. ALL long guns registered with CADOJ documents to verify the AR you had prior to 1/200 was legal to posses. The president on National TV saying he WOULD REINSTATE THE AWB.

I believed it happened, I just am skeptical that it has the clout to go for another round.

Repubs control the relevant committees in the house, and like I said, it isn't 1994 as far as political environment goes. The NRA is a lot better than my forefathers' NRA and also a lot more powerful.

If it gets introduced and looks like it has traction it's panic button, write your rep, write LTEs, shut up and take my money NRA, etc., mode, but until then I'm not going to waste a bunch of time worrying, you know?
