Can some of you that live in/around Denver suggest which scrap steel yards have better selections than others in their scrap pile? I need to get some 1/4" plate for some additional rimfire targets. Thanks.

No idea, but I buy plate steel from C&M Iron and Metal not far from my shop in Englewood

I used to go to Adams City Steel in Commerce City - not sure if they are still around or not, but they had new and scrap steel available.

Is that the place on Brighton Rd. N/E of SH6/85 & 77th. Ave. ?
If it is, I was there a few months ago and they were still open.

Thanks, between the ones that have been listed, I should be all set.

DenCol used to have bins that the public could dig through.

I second C & M Iron in Englewood. Good pricing and good people.

Does Den-Col have plate? I get things really cheap there.

Not trying to hijack your tread but who pays the most for scrap metal? I have a old engine and some other car parts.

Yeah, they've got everything. I used to get all my steel there when I did Jeep stuff. Plate, tube, angle, you name it.
