So I bought a blemished stripped upper form Palmetto State Armory. It came within a couple days and I can't find a thing wrong with it.... EXCEPT, it doesn't have m4 feed ramps cut into it. Now I know this is probably a stupid question, but do barrels in rifles with m4 feedramps have cuts in them too? If so, can I still use such a barrel? Or do I have to find a barrel that is specifically designed for a weapon without M4 feedramps. It doesn't bother me that I don't have M4 ramps, I just want to know what types of components I need that will work together.
Thanks.
You can use a barel with M4 feedramps cut into the extension or not with a receiver lacking the cuts. Just don't use a receiver with M4 cuts and a barrel without.

On this note can you have the cuts done on a barrel that dosen't have them?

Yes, but it is not something you want to Bubba. If the rifle runs fine as is, leave it be.
Bert can you add the feed ramps to the upper for him?

Thanks for the pictures, NightCat. Good info [Awesom]
Does this same thing apply to a 300 BLK?
Yes...it applies regardless of chambering

generally, what does it cost to have the cuts made into the upper? I'd like to do this, but the whole point of buying a blemished was to be on the cheap.
