So I just got a CX4 Beretta and now need something to look through. My eyesight isn't what it used to be, however I would think most shots will be around 50 yards or so. I've got a Burris AR332 on my FS2000 and like it. Just don't know if there might be better options for the gun, like an Acog?
Mostly the gun will be used with a suppressor while pig hunting in TX. I have found when we go walking through the woods down there, my 308 gets heavy as hell, hopefully this will be the shizzle.
9mm on pigs?
Acog I think is overkill unless you are flush with cash for the best. Even I'd just stick with the AR-332 or if you don't need the magnification any of the $200 value but quality red dots. (Vortex, Primary Arms, Bushnell? Holosight if you can find one (Eotech clone w/ out armor hood).

Yeah, I know 9mm is pretty whimpy. Just want something light and short, suppressors really hang out there. I probably will wimp out and not end up using it for the pigs. Subsonic 9's suppressed are crazy quiet tho.

I just picked up one myself and have been looking at optics. I think I am going to go with some sort of red dot since this will be a short range gun for me as well. My other decission is how to mount it. I would love to mount it a little higher to make it easier to aquire a target with out haveing to put my cheek all the way down to the stock but if I do mount high it will block the fixed sights. Or I could do a lower mout and get a co-witness out of it but those stock sights are so big and bulky. Wish they would have made those removeable so you put a flip up on it.

I wanted to add one more thing. Carefull what you chose as I have seen complaints that some optics will interfear with your abilty to use the charging handle. You may need to mount it far forward or if the optic has adjustment or mounting knobs make sure they are on the opposite side of the charging handle.

Hey rider, its a cool gun for sure. The sights flip down flat and totally out of the way. The front one you have to use a tool but the rear one you just flip it forward twice. Tried on a super low trijicon red dot at JJ's and it was so sweet, I am able to hold that gun so steady... Going to go shoot it now and see how accurate it is. My son is going to put on a 4 or 6x scope to see what kind of group we can get at 50 and then 100 yards.
Man that barrel is small on the end. I hope bp tactical can get it threaded ok.
