View Full Version : Anybody else have low Testosterone?
Had more blood work done today. The standards for this test are 247-1100 for males ranging in age from 19-71. I scored a 97. Wow my lowest score yet. lol
Maybe if you weren't such a crusty fart you'd be able to get it up without popping back a few Viagra. [LOL]

I asked the Doc about it a couple months ago when I had a physical. He said the easiest thing to do is any form of weight bearing exercise, even walking helps.
Crying for no reason again Sparky?

Do squats, or leg presses.
If you're healthy, do Olympic lifts. Best way to generate your own testosterone.

Nope. Thought maybe I did a while back because I was tired all the time. They checked. Turns out it is actually a little high. Turns out I just work too much I guess.
I'm 29 and I'm married to a smoking hot blonde. My sex drive is insatiable. I think I'm ok for now. [Beer]
How did you do on the Zombie survival test? That's where a high score really matters.
Bacon
Despite my high bacon consumption I am still low.

376 not bad.
Kettle bells then a soy latte (I'm in Boulder so I have to blend in, like walking like a zombie so they don't see you...) in the morning keeps this old fart from blowing dust.

Step it up with a turn 'n turf followed by whiskey.

^ This right here. strength training, cut sugar, fast food, cigarettes, and alcohol out of your diet. Incorporate lean cuts of beef. Lean chicken. raw almonds peanut butter for fat sorces. low glycemic carbs brown rich old fashoned oatmeal. You'll be surprised what can happen after propper weight training/diet. [Beer]

I had to quit the whiskey. I was what you would call a pro.
Honestly, losing weight helps. I don't know you so, don't take it as me calling you fat. Cut out all forms of corn syrup. The spike in American obesity happened the same time that corn syrup came along in massive amounts in our diet. You will find that things taste better without it and you eat less of the sweet stuff too. Has to do with how you body processes corn syrup.
Fat in your body depresses testosterone levels

I heard that regularly looking at breasts can actually increase testosterone. I really, really care about my health so I started daily treatments when I was around 13 and haven't let up.
YAY BOOBIES!

I read that somewhere too.
There is some interesting research that is coming out about diets. Turns out that your body processes saturated fats and in general meats for use as energy in a different manner than it processes carbs. It releases different chemicals in your brain and body if you eat more carnivorously and it actually is very good for nervous system function to completely cut carbs out of your diet. This is what they are doing for people with neurological disorders like epilepsy; they are on diets where they get less than 10 - 20% of their caloric intake from carbs everything else is fat and bacon is king. Along with that if you are eating a generally healthy high meat diet and working out you build muscle at 3 times the rate that you would getting your energy and protein from other sources. Funny, they are actually tracing some mental disorders to people not eating meat. Turns out if your body is designed to eat meat and you don't it is bad for you and you lose mental capacity. It explains a lot about the liberal community in general.
Lastly, all of this is based on the idea that you are carefully monitoring your diet and sticking to healthy levels of consumption. Your body only needs so much energy so chances are that if you switch to a high protein and fat diet you will have to eat less than you would for a similar carb based diet for the same caloric intake. Along with this, exercise is key so you will have to be physically fit enough to exercise enough to keep your cholesterol and blood pressure in check. Really you would need to consult a dietitian and probably someone educated in nutrition and exercise science to help you figure out if any of this is good for you. Fortunately for me my little brother has his degree in sports nutrition and exercise science and he is awesome about helping me out with my weightlifting and diet.
