I've got some time to kill this weekend and need to number my PMAGs. I was thinking stencils and some spray-paint.
Any recommendations on what paint? Or any recommendations on what others do?
thnx
I don't go overboard with mine. I simply use a paint marker. Others (Skully and Dangertastic off the top of my head) use some sort of stencil and spray paint.
The Krylon Fusion paints work pretty well and they come in tacticool colors.

I just wrap duct tape around the bottom of my mags. This indicates they are in good working order and they are mine not to be confused by anyone else at the range. I simply remove the tape if they malfunction.
Its good to number each one so you know which one had a malfunction so you can retire it.
Krylon fusion will work good.
FWIW, I simply use magic markers, black on the light mags and silver on the dark mags.

Sharpie
If you go Krylon - go with a very very light misting. With my numbered mags (big giant numbers on them that everyone makes fun of) I had some stencils lying around and I was painting something else. Was waiting for the something else to dry and said 'What the hell'. I went a tad too heavy and paint has rubbed off in various areas but I think it adds character. ;)

Love you too.......XOXOXO......... [Tooth]
I like the look of the painted stencil. I have seen it on many a guys mags. DANGERTASTIC has the points just for stylistic photography................... [Beer]
My mags.. Krylon primer. Vinyl stickers for stencils. In the 3 years since I have done it no one has ever mistaken my mags for theirs - and at classes I always have guys making sure my mags get back to me. ;)

Too bad you will never see kids learning to count by seeing pictures like this on Sesame Street. [LOL]

My 5 year old had to learn to count down from 10 this year in pre-school. [pick-me]
that was easy to teach, we watched rockets launching on you tube.
KISS.....
Keep it sharpie stupid
Silver or Gold paint pen has been great for me.

If it malfunctions, then put a number on it that matches, and drop it in the range bag of someone on your ignore list.
Y'all must go shooting with like 100's of people "at the range". I never have issues getting all my mags back.

Well probably a good thing with this particular picture ...8-6-7
I used a sharpie on my pmags and glock mags, but it is has been rubbing off, so I may look into the paint route.

Screw the numbering. With the price of ANY mag, i'm engraving my name on them! Maybe even booby trap the damn things.

Where might I find one of these "paint pens"??

I gave all of my mags to my wife. I told her I needed some way to tell them apart from everyone else and needed them numbered. I said have fun with it and wham you will get a loving surprise in return.
Sharpie. Use the initial of your last name or any letter that you will easily recognize ( I.o.t. Attempt to avoid switching mags with friends at the range ect) and then use a digit start with 01. Just my $ 0.02

I have been putting a number an a letter "10P" or "10D" for example. The "P" meaning practice and the m"D" meaning duty. This helps me identify my mags for practice and ones for work.
i tried doing large numbers on some gen 1 pmags i had laying around... a lot harder than it looks. not sure if thats the route i'm going

I had been using grey or silver sharpie for awhile, then switched to krylon and a paint brush. I discovered something about a week ago that made me reconsider using either one, I noticed while the magazines weren't all that reflective when a flashlight hit them those numbers just popped. I don't run around in the dark all that much but not sure how I feel about the the reflective properties they exhibit with the numbers. Like I said I don't run around in the dark, but I am thinking if I was shit has hit the fan, and I am not so sure I want to twinkle in a flashlight sweep

If you use the pastel paint pens, you could just do a Hello Kitty theme on all your mags.

I don't mark any magazines.
I keep my New ones separate from the ones I use.
The ones I use are just a few.
My four favorites are 20 round Colt I used in Vietnam. Those are special to me.
When I was at the Gun Show their was a Person who can lazer engrave what you want on the PMags
Next show I'll get a couple done.
