Bobbi G. She's laying in "her" chair wondering if she's gonna make it til breakfast. I think she's always assuming she won't. Tough life.

Used to have a fawn Pembroke named Toby. He was a little clown.
Corgi puppies are hands down the cutest of all dog breeds (still prefer English Shepherds, but you can't deny the cuteness of the Corgi).

(not Toby, but he looked pretty much exactly like this)

OK...that picture is what I needed to push me over the edge. I'm going out to find a Corgi puppy. Just what I need. Another dog. Thanks, Z.
Now my wife is pissed because she just got home from work and she's getting ready for bed. She's convinced she's gonna wake up to another dog in the house.
It's pretty hard to look at an adult Corgi and not smile. If you can look at that puppy picture without smiling and thinking "Awww...how cute!", you're just not human.

I just picked up a corgi/border collie mix last week. He's quite the mixture of the two. Definitely a crazy character.

We rescued Bobbi G from a hoarder. She lived her 1st 8 years in a cage inside a barn. She was afraid of walking on the grass when we first brought her home. She's pretty much a normal dog now and she'll live the remainder of her life knowing she's loved and not having to worry about anything.
That poor dawg ain't gunna make to breakfast! Better go fix it some eggs and bacon right now. [Coffee]
Damn it last thing I needed was to see this thread. Now I want some corgi pups.
I have a corgi / jack mix that is one awesome pup, although his brothers (blk lab and jack Russell) don't always think so.

There's a Corgi out there somewhere hoping you'll take him/her home. Go on. You know you want to.
And I have 4 JRTs in addition to the Corgi. Yeah....I know.
She looks very complacent. Must be the lower oxygen concentration up there in Baily.
We are thinking about a Corgi for our next pooch. Does she get along well with your terriers? We have a min pin that will (hopefully) live for at least 7 more years, and is kind of antisocial with other dogs.

Bobbi is our first Corgi. We've had her for about 1.5 years. She didn't have any problem integrating with the Terriers at all. She is content to lay around all day or run wild all day...depending on what we do. And, she likes her groceries. She would eat 24 hours a day if given the chance. I think she had to compete for food in her previous environment. She'd eat rocks if that's what we put in her bowl. One of the sweetest dogs we've ever had, too. She's a wonderful dog. I can't wait to get another one.
We rescue a lot of dogs and it's very rewarding. The only downside is you don't get to see them as pups. I really miss that part of bringing a rescued adult dog into the family.
My doggie doing what she does best. Poor girls needs ACL surgery.

Yeah, right. Here's a conversation we had last time I "fostered" a dog from the shelter:
Wife: "NO! Absolutely not. We don't need another dog. We have 5 already. It's gonna cost too much in vet bills, food and other stuff. She's not gonna get along with the others. They'll fight. Someone else can step up and give this dog a home. Not us."
*Pause*
Wife: "What're we gonna name her?"

I love stories like this. They tend to make my allergies act up for some reason and I get a warm feeling inside on a cold day. Thanks for sharing and I love Corgis.

Yeah, that sounds familiar. Except I'm the one that refuses to rescue any more damn animals {grumble grumble} aww, look at those little feet!

Hmm, I'll take a shot at being the old crudmugen. God made the wolf. We took the wolf and crossbred it to achieve the Corgi. A cute dog to be sure but those short legs. Corgi's will never make it during the zombie apocalypse.
Our girls are both rescues. They won the Shihtzu lottery, to be sure...
Watching football is a team sport at our house...

Bobbi G will make out just fine. She's cheetah fast. Well...OK, maybe not that fast. But I can shoot pretty good and I love my dogs. And like I said...she'll eat anything. So property cleanup is a non-issue after we exterminate the zombies with extreme prejudice.

We rescued Archie from a puppy mill in the spring of '09. Poor guy had only known a kennel his first couple years of life, was obviously treated badly/abused by a man as it took him the better part of a year to be comfortable with me. Had a terrible case of mange that made him look like he'd been shaved by an apprentice barber.
He is quite the character these day, and very mischevious15685 He travels with us to some of the larger bmx events in the state, along with Wendel the smooth collie-mutt we rescued the year before we found Archie. Archie really was forced out of his shel lby the other dog, it was fun to watch the teacher and the student evolve with the 2 dogs.

[ROFL1] That is just downright inhumane... I'm going to report you to the authorities...
BTW.. I almost got my wife (for both of us really... but i didn't tell her that) a corgi for christmas this year. One of these days. Our current dog is kind of a hermit, and we are probably going to let her live out her life in peaceful solitude. She just turned 10 and I hear min pins can live quite a long time. I hope she does, but a corgi is in the future for us.

Looks like everybody's comfy there, Jim. Hope the recovery is going well.
My Shepherd mix was also a rescue, and he's staked out the ends of the couch and the other side of the bed as his.
