BIG Sertoma three (3) day gun show in Colorado Springs, November 23, 24 & 25th - yeah, that's Thanksgiving weekend.
Hours are:
Fri 11/23 - 1PM to 6PM
Sat 11/24 - 9AM to 5PM
Sun 11/25 - 9AM to 4PM
This is their biggest gun show of the year!!
Location is 3960 Palmer Park Blvd at Academy, in CO Springs at the Rustic Hills Event Center.
Active Military get in free with valid ID
Plenty of free parking at this show - NOT like the Tanner show where you have to be lucky to find a parking place.
I am told that Alex will not be there for this show but I WILL have a table some place along one of the walls.
Stop by and say "Hi" at the "BlasterBob" table. Hopefully, I can even sell you something![Tooth]
What sort of wares will you be hocking?

I feel kinda bad in having to inform you that I will NOT have any little purple horse/pony or unicorn statues for sale........(I'd display a smilie face here but can't find them anymore for replies)
Actually, I'll have just plain ole typical gun show stuff - too much to list here. Probably bring a couple or maybe a few firearms, a little ammo, holsters and even a few tomahawks (throwing axes) etc. I can assure you that my table will have a variety of "STUFF".
Don't know if the show building will have a hitching post for you to tie up your pony........
If I can break away from my chores for a few hour's I'll stop by and see ya Bob.[Beer]

Great - looking forward to seeing and meeting you. (And maybe even taking some of your hard earned money) Ha Ha (still can't locate the smiley faces when making replies)

Well damn.

I'll have to contact the people running the place and double check.

Ridge, if you wear that suit of armor as shown in the picture, they may want you to place a zip tie on your sword. Also, if they do have a hitching post for your steed, you should probably bring a shovel and a large plastic bag to pick up it's "droppings".[ROFL1]

I'm thinking about swinging by. Whats your table look like?
Where do you set up when at the Tanner? Anywhere near R&S or Alex?

Looks like Gloria & I will also be at this show, in our usual location.
We will have our usual assortment of holsters, slings, bayonets..etc..
I do hope some people come by to say hello!

I certainly do NOT want this to sound like a wise ass answer but my table will look just like the majority of the tables there. I plan on having a little sign on it with the my name "Blaster Bob".
Another way to identify my table will be that there will be a small but very heavy little black powder mortar that shoots concrete filled beer/pop cans. That should make it real easy to spot unless it's sold before you arrive.[Tooth] Thanks!!

I don't set up at the Denver Tanner show. The Tanner organizers have been a little too difficult for me to have to deal with. Also, that's about a 500+ mile round trip for me so I just have to settle for an occasional table (like once every few years) at the Springs show. Thanks for asking.
Anyone know if any tables are still available?

Table availability can be checked out by sending the show organizer an email at prospectorsgs@gmail.com. However, I would certainly recommend giving them a phone call to get some quick answers. Call them at
(719)630-3976. Probably better call them quick as they get pretty busy as the show gets closer.
Aren't you the chap who we were going to meet at the World Arena Circus production earlier this year - the one that a kidney stone put the damper on our going to Springs for that event???????
Yup, that'd be me! Got to see if I can afford the time. Got a ton of stuff that's accumulated over the years (do I really need 5 fanny pack holsters?) that I should see if I can clear out.

OK there 02. Did you have any luck getting a table?? I would be happy to share my table but truthfully, I have about four or five tables full of stuff and have only one table to try to put it all on.[BooHoo]
Hope to see you there!
Finally, one I might be able to make!
Good thing I didn't get a table, looks like I won't even be able to make it to the show :(

Well, at least the reason is probably NOT due to a stone like I had. [shit-happens]

I hope I can find a BCG there. Are gun shows a good place to get these?

You never know what you might find at this gun show. [Luck]

Lot of people showed up but not a whole of buying going on. Dealers said today is usually a "looking" day to check out stuff and tomorrow sales are supposed to materialize. Let's hope that is correct or I just shot my wad for almost nothing.

The gent set up next to me has a new DPMS AR15 bolt carrier group (hard chrome plated) out for sale.
Also, Scott is there with the DPMS booth, so AR parts are available!
It is looking like I should have brought AK stick magazines instead of the Romanian 75 round drums!

I did OK. I was hoping to find an SP2022 in 357SIG but ended up with a decent looking used M&P40 for $400. I'll drop in a 357 barrel later and be happy. Nice to see Bob today, though.

You guys have better eyes than I do. Not only did I not spot the Blaster Bob sign, but I didn't see anything that I really needed to take home... TONS of people though. Is it normal for a shop to tack sales tax on top of a sale? Tried to buy some ammo and primers, and the lady behind the table tried to tell me they had to charge tax, and tacked over 12% on top of the written prices... Hit Big R on the way home and they had the same stuff for ~10% less, plus 15% off everything in the store for black friday. Glad I didn't pay the lady, despite cash in hand.
Did anyone know it didn't open until 1? I showed up at 12:30 to a giant line, and almost turned around and left thinking they weren't letting people in due to the crowd. I parked and asked, and then took my spot in line to wait another 15 min to get in. I'll probably make my way back today or tomorrow if I can sneak away, since I've already paid.

Yes, for a licensed dealer sales tax is required, just like Gander, Sportsman's, etc. charges sales tax. The sales tax rate depends on the location, Aurora is 8.1%, Denver Merchandise Mart area is 4.75%. Additionally, most folks will give a cash discount on sales. Credit Cards cost the seller from 3 to 6% off the top of the sale so the cash discount is removed (note, they are not charging more for using a credit card just giving a discount if you use cash). The credit card companies give the big box or high volume users a discount on fees that is why there is usually no cash discount at these locations.

Understood on having to actually pay the taxes, I was under the impression most folks just included that in the posted price. Sales tax in the Springs isn't 12% though, and I was holding the cash in my hand, so I assume she wouldn't have tacked on a cc fee. Oh well.

Any commercial vendor is supposed to charge sales tax but that should have been around 7.2% in the Springs. I've bought from both Dad's and Ammo Kan several times and both charged me exactly the right sales tax. My guess is that she entered a number wrong on the calculator if the end price was 12% higher than you were expecting.
It opened a lot earlier than 1. I got there around 11:30 and only had a few people ahead of me in line.
First show in a long time that I found a firearm I wanted -- got a pretty nice Mossberg 44US. It looked to me like it had been refinished as my other US Property-marked 44USes have more of a brown patina and the stock had a beautiful grain whereas my other Mossies are stained too deeply to notice the grain but I love the Mossbergs -- very nice for instructing boys as they are a nice weight and have nice smooth actions with groups tighter than Biden paying his taxes.

Yesterday or today? Sorry I should have specified, it was 1pm yesterday (Friday) when they started letting people in.
Glad to hear you found something though, I'm hoping to swing by tomorrow
