I was just wondering if anyone has used this powder for reloading 10mm? My Hornady 8th edition says 8.8 grains max which will produce 1150 FPS with a 180 grain bullet, that is not much more than a 40 S&W. I was wondering if anyone has used the 4756 and got higher velocities with a 180 grain bullet? I am using 180 grn FMJ and loading 40 S&W as well. I am wanting around 1250 FPS with the 10mm and 1100-1150 with the 40 S&W if possible, Any help on either of these rounds would be great. Thanks

In 40 S&W you will pushing the limits to get over 1100 plus ft/sec on an already high pressure round. Most data suggest just over 1050ft/sec with 4756.

In IMR/Hodgdon powders Longshot will give you the best velocity in both the 40 and 10mm on 180's

Accurate #9 and Blue Dot are your friends for full house 10mm loads. Getting those velocities should be easy.
A lot of book data has been neutered over the years... being repeatedly reduced.

I cannot find blue dot anywere or I would definitely be using that over 4756, guess I will just have to wait for blue dot. I loaded the 40's but will wait on the 10's as I do not have any 10 brass anyway.
