I was just looking at the 1911 picture thread this morning and saw the pictures of your Llama. Are you sure it is a 9mm? My understanding is that the 9mm did not have the .38 stamping on them. I have seen them that way.
I have one with all the same markings and it is a .38 Super. The diameter is almost exactly the same, the .38 Super has a longer case. You might check your chamber.
