How well do you like the Sig Sauer P250 subcompact, and are you having any problems with this handgun?

I've shot the normal size version and I assume that some of my criticism will carry over. My feeling was that they weren't nearly as good as Sig's all metal guns (226, 228, etc.) and there are better polymer pistols (Glock, M&P, XD) out there for either the same price or not much more. It wasn't exactly a bad gun but couldn't stand up to the competition. Even if DA/SA is important there are polymers like the FN's and HK's.

I have a P250 subcompact and full size. Both have barrels for .40 S&W and .357 SIG. I carry my subcompact mostly in the summer, and have found it to be a very simple, reliable handgun. The only fault I have is not so much a fault, but that SIG decided to set the gun up with a combat sight picture, so most people routinely shoot low. Once you make that adjustment, it is a very accurate DAO pistol. If I want to shoot fast (staged trigger rhythm drills) my P229 or Glock 22 are better choices. IMO, for defensive carry, the P250 is a very good choice for the money.

Yes, the trigger pull is long, but it is really smooth. Some will never like it, but if you have spent any time shooting revolvers, the P250 is an easy transition.

Be safe.

Had one, very nice shooting pistol. Just could not get comfortable with the DAO trigger. I am a revolver guy, but mine have nice smooth triggers.

Same as everyone else on my new model P250 sc 9mm the big plus is that the trigger is way better than the lc9 and it fits in my xd holsters (for what its worth) but still not as smoot DAO as a revolver, shot very well for me.
