well, since all 15 regulars viewed and have not replied, I guess I'll be executing my targets by myself. [AR15]

Dude, check out the forecast! Possible snow isn't a problem, but the wind is!

Where do you shoot by the way?

oh, good point. still getting used to having to check the weather beforehand. though, the challenge would make it interesting.

Gunshow weather. Anyone know where they have a "REAL" gunshow anymore? Karl.[Flower]
they have more guns at walmart than at the average colorado gunshow, and about the same amount of jerkey and crafts.

That good, huh? Someone told me Tanner show might be a good place to buy inexpensive ammo.

Hahaha, NO.

I went today to get some ammo cans and just scope things out. I've found the odd decent buy on ammo a few times in the last year or so, but didn't see one ammo vendor today that made me wanna reach for the wallet. Walked away from more than one shaking my head. It's not AWFUL, but it's no real bargain either.

On the plus side, 5280 had one of the new HK P30's... pretty sweet, feels great in the hand.

I'm beginning to realize that sitting at home on the internet is the best way to buy stuff as opposed to going to the so-called gun shows anymore. It's too bad it used to be a good Saturday with gun friends.

amen, I gave up on gunshows a while back, even if you found a deal the rising price of admission, and fuel made up for what you saved. by just staying home and pushing enter on the keyboard you will get a better deal, and its delivered.

I agree, it has been a long time since I have seen a "deal" at any gun show. As an added bonus, the Internet has the lack of tax and dealing with a crowd of yahoos.

Well, I went.

It has been a LOOOONG time since I went to a show, now I remember why. Did not really expect to find the gun I wanted, at a reasonable price, but this was OUTRAGEOUS. On GunBroker they go for $500-600, I talked to a local dealer, and can get a brand new one for a little over $700, 5280 had the ONLY one in the caliber I want, and he wanted $929 for it. [Wow2]

Even the list of smaller stuff was a waste of time. Holster, mag, mag holder, belt, maybe some ammo, etc. Nada, zilch, zero, at ANY price.

Good thing I went to meet someone so we could go for lunch and BS. Then a trip to visit a dying V.N. vet friend. THEY were the only things that made the trip worth while.

It's back to watching the auctions, and ordering parts online. Gunshows are dying, just like Dave's did, and for the same reason(s).
