$50 Dollar. I'd rather work at Walmart for 10 hours and get more.

Great now I can just see a bunch of home invasions, more home defense shootings for a whopping $50. I can see that at the very least its a "Effort" to get guns out of Youth hands but really really poor execution on that idea.

According to the news, the average Walmart "Associate" makes $14 per hour. I wish I made that much.

I sincerely doubt that.

That's what the Australian government did. Seems to have worked out just fine for them. Higher gun violence, home invasions and carjackings than any other time in Australian history.

But there are less guns in the hand of good people, so all these good people have lower chance to turn bad... because you know, guns tell people things about commit crime.

I can't commit any crime because all of my guns were lost in a tragic boat accident!!

Name calling and labeling aside, I have seen a "bleeding heart" go toe to toe with a local anti firearm politician. Her stance was "what gives you the right to regulate my self defense". Not much else in common but i respect her for that. Take it for what it's worth.

My understanding is that $50 is a good deal for most of the firearms turned in.
