Great now I can just see a bunch of home invasions, more home defense shootings for a whopping $50. I can see that at the very least its a "Effort" to get guns out of Youth hands but really really poor execution on that idea.

That's what the Australian government did. Seems to have worked out just fine for them. Higher gun violence, home invasions and carjackings than any other time in Australian history.

Name calling and labeling aside, I have seen a "bleeding heart" go toe to toe with a local anti firearm politician. Her stance was "what gives you the right to regulate my self defense". Not much else in common but i respect her for that. Take it for what it's worth.

My understanding is that $50 is a good deal for most of the firearms turned in.
