For a long time I have really wanted a 10/22 magnum (but don't wanna cough up $700- $1k for one) and ran across the 80% receiver from select fire. Looks simple enough to do with a drill press.
Has anyone here done one?

Yeah I got one still sitting in the closet haven't gotten it to run right yet. Check rimfirecentral there's several threads on building them.

I did mine with a drill press and it worked but I'd suggest seeing if you can borrow a mill for the barrel hole.

Been there before and forgot about that site. Used the tips and tricks section to do the stoning the hammer and bedding. Just browsing I couldn't find anything, guess I'll have to join so I can use the search option. Thanks for the info guys.

BigNick, did you do the magnum or the lr? What is the issue(s) you're having with it?

Magnum. The cases are bulging in the rear and occasionally ripping the rear of the brass off when it shoots. Which in turn blows up my mags if I forget to take them out before shooting.

On rimfire there is a whole 10/22 magnum section all the threads are under there.
