I dont officially have a rifle yet, but definitely caught the bug. Been doing lots of research on completed and parts rifles and think Ive decided on building one from scratch based on the fact that I can learn a lot more about the rifle and how it works by building it myself rather than buying a completed rifle. Looking forward to reading and learning as much as I can and especially where I can go in CO to meet like minded individuals. Thanks for having me!

Welcome!

Colorado Rifle club is the largest (acreage) and oldest club in Colorado and they have more disciplines than any club/range. They are one of a few with open memberships as well. www.crci.org (http://www.crci.org)

Stapleton area? Make sure you only buy 20 round magazines to be in compliance with Denver ordinances. Also, if you do build one yourself, make sure you acquire the proper tools...there aren't many required, but there are some specialized ones that really make the build easier.
