I built mine. Just framed it up with 2x4's and put a section of counter top on it from Home Depot. It works quite well.

One thing I would recommend is a bench without a drawer under the front. I find myself c-clamping a lot of stuff to the bench. Case trimmer, powder measure, etc.

I'm all for building something on the cheap, nothing I've seen commercial made is strong enough. As ray1970 said, 2x4, 2x6 and countertop or nice MDF.
Be sure and check out the reloading bench thread somewhere on there....

I'm using:

study metal frame and a nice solid wood piece on the top.
I tried building my own and honestly after spending all this money and time on wood I would of been better off just buying the work bench I have now.

This is an older pic but built this one under $100 including the light. The dresser was a "freebie" for paperwork, spare parts and such.

[Tooth] this is th bench I picked up at Sam's. It was so nice that I didn't want to drill holes in the top, so I built a stand for my press.
i picked up a sears table back in 08 it works great heavy enough to mount my Dillon on the end i paid 110.00 for it back when it was on sale and i worked there for three months so i got a employee discount on it. here is an old picture will have to update it as a few things have changed. i have a smaller table i use for my rock chucker now .

An Armoire I got cheap on Craigslist. Works great for me, secure enough to keep snoopers out.
